That's how you know it's rigged......If they really wanted to know who was behind something and punish them.....they wouldn't tell them they are investigating them.....
They already know and that knowledge is power. The threat was a gamble to let info out to others.
Is that Goldie Hawn? They got her torso on backwards.
Doesn't do Salma justice

No, but that’s a late Frezzetta.

Finding a wife

I've found that nothing in my shop gives me shit, about anything. When I go places I dress as I want, look at what I want, buy what I want, an tell people what I think right then. Yes, I have to do everything at home inside & out but that's a small price to pay for happiness. If I should Ever find one like my late wife, I'll happily revert to a married man again. However what I'm seeing out there says I'll be a widow until the end, and with the pickings I've seen so far I'm 200% good with that, even if the rental option goes away at some point. Nothing like true freedom from look at me, you will Simp for me, bitches.
This.

Never married, and always thought I wanted that. Now at 75 I look around and think..."Damn, I was lucky."

Gasoline...kills everything.
Not everything.

A few years ago I had an infestation of ground bees. First year it was "Oh look, bees, how cute." Second year it was " Wow, those bees have really increased." 3rd year it was "Holy shit I gotta do something about these bees." In my 1/2 acre yard there was a hole the size of a pencil every 4"-6" with a bee in every one. Fortunately they didnt sting but it was really annoying to walk thru the yard and be surrounded by bees.

I tried every commercial poison out there, nothing, they seemed to like it. In frustration I tried putting straight gasoline in the sprayer...the little sons of bitches just flew away. Killed the grass but not the bee's. I finally contacted the University Extension Agent and they turned me onto sone stuff that killed them, but damn, I've never seen a but not die when you put gas on it. o_O

Bergara issues

If it's really shooting large sample size groups well at 100 yards, it should also shoot the same MOA sized groups at 200 yards. It's not an issue with the rifle or the load.

A large extreme spread in velocity won't show vertical dispersion until several hundred yards out.

It could be Parallax error in your scope, you should check that. The last place we want to check is the shooter itself, but that's often the cause.

I used to shoot bug holes at 100 with my AI, but often times 2-3" at 300. Like you, I was convinced that there was something wrong with my handloads. I spent hours at both the reloading bench and the range trying to figure things out.

Once I really learned and started to focus on the fundamentals of marksmanship, groups at distance fell right into place. At this point, they are the same size MOA, if not smaller at 300 and 600 for me. Same rifle, same hand loads, same barrel, same everything.

I have a question for moderators.

Thanks.

Dillon 550 only- Tips, Tricks, Process Q&A thread .

I’m a newbie to 550 and progressive reloading. I’m sure I can figure it out but figured I’ll ask here - loading 223, the case heads and rims are getting black greasy shit on them. I bought the shell plate new and have only performed priming, powder charging, and seating operations on this press. I did buy it used so maybe something from the prior owner who loaded mostly pistol on it?

Take the shell plate off and clean the shell plate and everything that the case might touch.

Night Vision Declare your Independence from high NV prices! JRH Enterprises sale

Kids, if only they didn't cost us right? :)

You think kids are expensive…….its the women that birth them that are the real expense; if you have a great woman it’s very much worth it, but good women are far and few between these days. Kids grow up and eventually leave; a bad woman leaves with all your hard work and most of your future.

Ok, back to the subject of decently priced night vision half of us still can’t afford because of women.

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

To me, recoil isn't much of a factor since a big magnum is out of the question. I also don't consider modern Creedmoor-class cartridges in <22" barrels to be hearing safe, even with a suppressor. So additional hearing protection is mandatory (for me)... and since I'm doing that, I might as well save myself the 4-6 inches and leave it off. YMMV.

Having farted around with "ranch rifles" and truck guns for a while now myself, I will trade a little portability for MPBR and faster follow-up shots - because you'll likely not have time for application of a rangefinder... So the braced 10.5" ARs and 16.5" bolt guns aren't for me either. Again, YMMV.

If someone told me that I had to build another ranch rifle tomorrow, I'd end up with an 18" 22/6 ARC on an AR. You could go a step further and put a folding stock adapter on it too if you wanted. That is still short enough to fit perpendicular next to you in the cab of a truck or SxS, but long enough to get some velocity with the right bullet.
I have to say, I just chambered a 22arc for a friend of mine on a ruger american, and I was pretty impressed. Finished it at 18"

Not sure what factory fodder would do but he's loading 80's running 2900. About to do another one for my brother on a tikka. I think he's going to use the full blank. May cut it down to 24" but he doesn't want to go under that. It ought to be pretty fast.
