Transonic isn’t really an issue if the bullet is designed correctly. Bullets can go transonic and still be accurate.

Any of those will work. Try loading some 147 if they are shooting well in the rifle now. You can load and make them shoot better.

I went to private k-6 and public 7-12, timeframe mid 60s to late 70s. I was an early reader myself and my early reading/language abilities were why I got put into private school despite not being from a rich family. They stretched to send me there.

My brother attended the pvt school only through 3d grade. He switched to public in 4th.

As kids, he was not a reader at all. Didn't interest him. Opposite of me. I wonder how much is from his switch to public school and how much is natural to him. As kids he said he hated reading, and as an adult, he reads only rarely, usually a biography of someone he admires.

I know that at the private school, reading for your own enjoyment started getting encouraged in 4th grade English class. In that year we went to the library, talked to librarian about our interests, and she recommended books to suit our interests. This planted a seed for reading.

Could be, I can say. I have never not one single time heard a parent or heard of a parent at a school board meeting saying their kids need to learn to read earlier. I think it's like when you hear a politician say, "everyone wants more cops."

My brother was motivated and learned to read young. I was not. I was evaluated for special education in the 2nd grade because I was not reading well. I was promptly given an IQ test after my evaluation and added to the gifted and talented program.

They had diffrent reading programs here. At school you got a personal pan pizza from pizza hut for reading x amount of books each month. And the library had a summer reading program that gave prizes gift certifies and such to local restaurants and the swimming pool.

Pushing/forcing/shaming kids for not reading kids to read probably makes about as many hate as love it. Some kids don't learn well by reading text. Some kids can't learn by reading text.

I was given Lego at each birthday froma young age and taught how to follow the instructions to build the the things in the instruction Manuel.

Since the last jug I bought had "similar to AA2230" on the label and webpage, but now they have a basic starting load. Maybe they realized the powders really didn't match up in similarity? Or maybe AA powders sent a letter to refrain from using or claiming AA powders are similar.

This thing didn’t exist back when this conversation all started, and I built mine, but this thing may fit the niche for a few guys in this genre. Not a bolt action, and don’t know the accuracy of a pof barrel, but it’s an option for guys out there. (Kinda want one, cause it’s so fugly)

Plenty of spots I been in old rigs that it was an issue. 2.5’ of water is nearer the air intake than I prefer.
Add in spring temp drops and you might have ice build up on it (had that before a few times)

Were fishing at Pole Creek near Stoney Pass one year when a couple came blowing through the water crossing and water locked the engine and died in the middle of the stream. We towed him out and parked the vehicle off the side of the road. Lifted the hood and when we pulled the air filter housing water poured out. Engine was DRT. They spent the night in our camp since it was getting below freezing each night. Had to have the vehicle towed to Silverton and no doubt it wasn't cheap.

I think all my 6 arcs are in BCM thermofit uppers. All my criterion barrels have been good shooters. I was very impressed with my chromelined criterion 223 barrel. It shoots sub MOA 5 shot groups with my 55g blaster ammo.

Just scrub them up, cut off the tips and make 1” chucks out of them. Throw some salt, pepper, etc on them in a cookie sheet and roast them that way. Very tasty and good for you too.

The action was an SR3 and it was a ton of fun to shoot. We were messing with it one weekend on an E type at 400 yards. You could see the copper rainbowing downrange. I even used it one year to take a doe at my parents' house from ~45 yards with 230 grain Winchester PD ammo.

The 9mm was the same concept. I used 3D printed magazine internals, a Sig P228 mag spring, and a $45 9mm blank from Green Mountain. It's fun to shoot in my parrents back yard with 147 subs and a suppressor. It makes the same amount of noise as a suppressed 22 but it hits the steel plates harder and my sons enjoyed it more.

I still have the files and we can create more of them. The critical component is to use a 700 action with controlled round feed and a blade/inertial ejector like a Bighorn, Kelbly, ARC, etc.

I even posted it to the PVA instagram account back in 2019 or so and I have internal components for the 45 mags still. We could make more starting tomorrow.

That's pretty cool. Can you give a breakdown on the pricing? I really wish one of the OEM's would make a 9mm bolt gun with an action designed from the ground up around it.

We have like a "smal" debate with the ar15/10 rifle in Sweden that im waiting to see the outcome from.
I have today a old "Sniper" SSG 69 PII.
If I compare the xm3 with the ssg 69 the xm3 is way more balanced.
The ssg 69 is extreme front havey.
