Help Needed--Pressure signs WAAY early.

Saami shows that the freebore is .119 (=1.866-1.747)
Ask the smith for a copy of his reamer print and verify its saami if you are shooting factory ammo.

Are the marks all the way around the bullets circumference or are the marks actually coming from scraping on extraction under a spring ejectors force? Remove the ejector and see if they still show up.

Also, what are your velocities? Do they correspond with high pressure? Clean your barrel while you are at it.
What action, does it have a small firing pin that allows it to do the high pressure small rifle primer cases? Or is this on an unbushed rem700?

Zero distance applicability

For those of you shooting iron sights or red dots on your rifles, regardless of your zeroing scheme, how far are you typically shooting?

Are 80% of your shots inside of 150 yards? Shorter distance than that?

How often are targets 300 yds and beyond?
Are you asking how far you can confidently shoot with a red dot or irons? It depends on the red dot or irons being used. When I'm shooting a red dot or irons at distances, I can usually hit it, assuming that I can see it. What I mean by seeing it is being able to resolve or distinguish the target from its surroundings.

As for all of the talk of 50/200 or 36/300 zeroes, its been very seldom that I've seen it actually work out that way for anything more precise than being able to hit a man size target.

Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

I can see a modern need for a Vietnam era gun truck.

The V-150 with the 20mm is my all time favorite military vehicle. I would own one if I was rich. They come up for sale every so often at about $100k fully restored.

Toughest scope mounts?

Personally I'm in the position where none of my Spuhr mounts have broken, so they don't ALL crack, and it isn't a shit product.

For me, it's the best I've ever tried and used. I think I got my first mount something like 15 years ago, and it's still in use.
I got one way back in 2010/2011 when they first came out on my TRG. I noticed that the fasteners holding the mount together was stripping really easy. I emailed them about this and Spuhr wanted something crazy for a couple of fasteners. Come to find out, they are still stripping really easily, and they are including extras when you buy a mount. They know about this issue and don't even address this problem as well. I refuse to buy another one because of the cost and lack of support and trying to overcharge me when I needed some simple fasteners. There are just better products out there for less.

Bergara B14R - KI Precision vs Bergara Heavy Barrel

I have heavy stainless and the carbon. I don't think the stainless offers any improvement in terms of general group size. It's just whether you want the added weight and added length.

Not saying bergara makes shit barrels. Or accuracy is piss poor. Just saying its punch is commensurate to its cost.

Nobody is producing custom gun performance at half to a third the cost. So those crying the bergara isn't a Vudoo is just dumb.
