Tough to keep it healthy in the Oregon winter and inside, but here is a Pineapple Plant I started. I rooted a starter and transplanted it into this so It's going into it's 2nd summer right now.

Do you drink anything while shooting?

According to the late Gil Hebard, multiple National Match Bullseye record holder. Back in the heyday of bullseye shooting, a little drink before a match was referred to as "shooting wet". If memory serves me correct, he claimed the Border Patrol team had this down to a science. Not too much, not to little and at the right time, would help alleviate match pressure.
Rest in Peace Mr Hebard, it was a pleasure doing bussiness with you.

My Grok discussion about Harvey Milk and predatory behavior

Harvey Milk was cornholing children.

Back in the 'flower power' days, these devients could get away with anything.

And Diane Feinstein was right there with him, protecting him and cheering him on all the way.

The guy was an utter predator and used the LSD Addled '60's to fulfill all his twisted shit-stabbing fantasies.

Naming a ship after him is a travesty worse than having a JFK-commemorative Carcano! Oh, wait... I have one of those.

How about we have a thread about the "paranormal"?

hey I found a yearling elk like that. It was still alive, the ground was TORE UP!
I could see the trail where a herd came through.
My best guess, this one appeared to not quite clear the top wire as it went over the fence, but what was weird was it was twisted more than once. Either aliens did it, or the elk stood back up and went over the fence again, then repeated that yet again. Yeah, had to be aliens.
I had to pop the wire free from a several posts to get the elk free. It couldn’t even stand, just laid there for a bit. After a while I pushed it and it finally got up and wobbled off.

Whats really weird is the computer files being corrupted.
Haha yeah definitely aliens. I always look for the unnatural in naturally occurring things. Life is more fun that way especially since it makes my wife think I'm nuts. The deer being twisted in the fence was weird but completely explainable. The memory card in the trail cam however... well that took this event and made it in my top ten "oddities" file.

AB Raptor-10

I run two of them, one a direct thread and one with a Silencerco bravo quick disconnect.

Like them enough I bought the second one. Good sound reduction without braking the bank.
Are you referencing the a10 warthog? Was curious about that one as well. Initially thinking the raptor though.

Preciate the initial responses. Anyone run one with the Reflex mount?

Longer range ar15 sight in distance

They are actually totally arbitrary. The point is you should be using a ballistic calculator but it is best to pick a known distance. If all your shooting is a known distance like 50 or 100yrd rimfire then the sight in distance is easy. I like setting my zero stop a know distance from which I can dial up or hold over. But it is always a known entity. I dislike holding under and with a zero stop you can’t dial down. So if your closest shot will be 600yrds that is a good zero. But get a calculator and range finder so you can get quality dope.

Longer range ar15 sight in distance

50 yards, 100 yards .... those are pretty arbitrary numbers unless you're trying to accommodate a BDC or something. Get a ballistic calculator, figure out what your maximum point blank range is based on your needs and zero for what the app tells you is best.

The idea of doing all of that dialing seems fun in your head, but when you get out and start doing it, you're gonna realize that less dialing is better.

Don't have it in your head that a 50/200 zero is a real thing. It's a combat zero based on a specific rifle configuration shooting a specific ammo. Don't just zero at 50 and think you'll be good at 200. Zero for the farther distance (always zero at the far distance, no matter what zero you're using).

I shoot a 16" rig. The ammo I run is 77gr Barnes Matchburners at 2681 fps. I want all of my shoots to land in a group no larger than 3". This puts my maximum point blank range at just over 200 yards. So, for everything out to 200, I just hold dead center and fudge it a tad if I need to. I zero at 200 on that rig.

LMT .308 MWS

That's what I figured. It's almost worth just having a premium cut rifled blank made with an intermediate length, interference fit gas block and getting it converted with an LMT extension.
14.5” Intermediate and 16” rifle gas barrels seem to run fine. One of my buddies shoots a 14.5 and I have several 16” rifle gas set ups. I get the “extreme reliability” claim but damn. It’s like Colt still using carbine gas on their 6920’s.

Mid-length gas tubes must be cheaper. Lol
