First suppressor? DD wolf hunter opinions

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread. I am looking for a suppressor for a 6gt and 223. I will get a separate suppressor later down the road for 30cal stuff. I was looking for something fairly compact and light weight as both of these are hunting rifles, those of you that have tried the wolf hunter what do you think?

You can run .223 endcaps or .30 endcaps, plus soon a pretty effective break.

If you looking for versatility look no further

Suppressors .30 or .22: Best First Suppressor?

I'll be the contrarian. For my FIRST suppressor, I'd buy the SilencerCo 46M with plenty of 5/8x24 mounting adapters. It will suppress, though not perfectly, for everything smaller in caliber. As I accumulated more funds I'd buy more caliber specific suppressors. I didn't do it this way and have purchased so many cans that I need a go bag to carry them all. My most used suppressor is a .22LR Sparrow. All day fun that one is. The 46M I've used on my lever guns. It's a hoot with a .375 Winchester.

Sorry for beating a dead horse with this repetitive question but which is the BEST Ballistics app of 2025?

Hey I’m stuck between multiple different apps and I wanted to know y’all opinion on these apps in comparison.

This is for New/Updated Apps currently available on both iPhone and Android devices. Not an old app that is no longer available (Strelok Pro)

Unfortunately, “SBC” could not be added to this list because of multiple crashing issues that many people are experiencing, including myself, and it hasn’t been resolved in months. However, “SBC Light” works fine.

They were a few more apps that could have been mentioned but I reached a max on the poll and eliminated the ones that weren’t included.

Also, keep in mind that these were apps that were free to download

New Schmidt Bender?

With the adjusted expiration date of 6-25-26 it certainly looks like we'll be starting to see wide AFOV scopes from more manufacturers starting to hit the US market at that time.

We know S&B already has full >22 degree AFOV versions of the 3-18 and 6-36 for non-US markets, but I wonder if there are other manufacturers currently selling AFOV limited versions of their current scopes that just need a simple revision or field stop removal to have >22 degrees AFOV (ZCO and Tangent 7-35 possibly?)

Also, I wonder how many upcoming/new wide AFOV scopes are already designed and waiting for manufacture and will be announced as we get closer to the patent expiration.

I just need to show some self control and not buy any new scopes until then...

First rifle I’ve done load development for. B14 HMR, wearing a 5-25 Strike Eagle and Omega 300. I also did not know I had the ability to put groups out as small as some of these have been. Started with 168 ELDM and they suck in this gun. Bought 169 SMK, 175 SMK, and 168 TMK. Primary powder choices Varget and CFE223.

Think my final load is going to land around 44.8 gr Varget on the 169.

Think I’ll load up the last of the box of 175’s on 46.0 gr CFE223.

But can anyone explain this with the 168 TMK? It’s not the first strings I’ve had where some groups are great, and others are great with a single flier like these. Rifle loves the Fed T308T tipped load.

As someone who's use all these components and looking at where the center of the Mean Radius is,
I'd suggest rest your 169 SMK's with 44.7 to 45.0 grs of Varget. The loads for those two targets look like they have the most potential. Also, the velocity you're getting for those two loads is right at where my particular gun (with 26" barrel) performs very well. . . though with a different powder (AR-Comp).

After going on two Carnival cruises out of Galveston I would classify them as a budget friendly offering with a dash of ethnocentrism mixed in.

A majority of the passengers are a rather boisterous group of people who partake in consuming high quantities of alcohol until the early morning hours followed by copious amounts of brash street talk resulting in violence reminiscent of a pack of hyenas on an early morning hunting trip.
That’s going to be those Houston Amish.
