Can we talk shooting technique?

U know damn well what I am saying. You left a idiotic reply on a FORUM.....ON WHICH PEOPLE DO NOTHING BUT TALKKKKK telling us NOT to talk or discuss anything just take classes instead. U think that was logical reply?

We all get that classes are a thing, and Id say most of us have taken them, but u act like we shouldn't discuss anything.

Very cool, I have never seen that technique before. Appreciate the links
Hey man no one said you could not talk or ask questions about anything

My post was really about helping you become a better shooter. I looked at some of your posts before I answered. Your posts suggested a fairly new shooter who also is dealing with cross eye dominate which is a PIA for anyone to over come Then I made a suggestion based on all of that.

I suggested Rifles Only because Jacob is an outstanding instructor who has worked with new and experienced shooters a great deal. Plus he has trained thousands of Military and Civilians on gas guns

No one intended to insult you.

As to what this sight is about. Well I was one of the original members here. I wrote articles and other things to help the sight back then but retired from professional shooting for awhile because of health issues etc. I came back a few years ago but don’t post much anymore.

Now could I of spent more time leading you to the answer you need training? Yes but I have probably answered that question a hundred times so I just cut to the chase

You might ease up a bit on how you talk to people. You say your training for “SHTF”. Well some of us have seen/been in the shit and may have some knowledge you could use

Not the Onion - Saving Private Ryan dethroned as greatest war film ever

It had to do with females, so that needed to be touted.
It had to do with "non-white" females, so that needed to be touted more.

The true story basis of it, holds some water and is of some value.

But not, in the realm of things, NEAR what was accomplished by the Allied Forces. Not even a comparison.... but we all know that.

What’s the best way to measure beam divergence?

I’ve run the 2k with a clip on in this video but I’m not seeing a clear way to measure the size of the ranging laser.

Wait is that your video? I watched that the other week! Love your channel.

Idk how to actually measure it, vortex just told me the spec themselves and high end units (Wilcox etc) list the divergence on the product page. My issues was that the impact 4000 struggled to pick out standalone targets without a berm behind them. aka an ipsc target on a t post in the middle of the field

There are ways around it like lazing the base or lazing larger objects nearby but it was also frustrating not being able to aim at actual target.

I had the opportunity to run a full power RAPTAR XE which has sub .5 mil divergence and it was night and day difference with the ability to pick out targets and get accurate ranges.

If Maztech gave you a Unit for your channel they may give you the specs for it.

If the 15k is a similiar beam to the WILCOX or MARs then I’ll buy one ASAP.

That would be great I have a feeling the MSRP will be the actual price though,

I want to know what the beam divergence will be on the LRF. The vortex impact is like 2.0 mils wide, hopefully it’s closer to the RAPTARs and MARs at sub .5 mils

Wonder what street price of the unit will actually be. Still optimistic for sub 3k

Another SIG 320 fires while holstered- SIG agreed to buy all the departments 320s back

dropping HGs is not a recommended action. i have never heard of a pistol with a grip safety firing when it is not activated by the gun being in hand. guess anything is possible. might be a paranoia issue buy when carrying with the gun pointed at the rt nut,i am just much happier having a GS.

No matter the number of “safeties’” idiots will always find a way to defeat them.

Pistol ar....lvpo vs red dot

Rob - nope, haven't been in Gaza recently. I freely admit I'm a civilian who in 25 years of shooting have never had to point my gun at another person, and hopefully never will. This is just a fun hobby for me. But a hobby that hopefully has some practical utility should the world go to hell - even if that is a remote possibility. I'd rather be somewhat proficient with my rifle than be a great golfer trying to protect my family with a Titleist and a nine iron. Other than this just being a fun sport/activity/hobby, isn't that why we train - so if we ever find ourselves in the position of actually having to use our rifle/pistol, etc. we don't completely panic and can respond to the situation with at least a minimum level of proficiency.

My point is that being able to hit a freshly painted 2' steel plate at 300 yards with a red dot, on a flat range, in bright sunlight is not a realistic scenario and says very little about how well this set up would perform when conditions are less ideal.

oh, it isn't because they are taught or trained to be whores by the music and movie industries?

Here's a little how it started vs how it's going entertainment for you -
