PVA now offering AR15 barrels!

I thought there was talk in the thread about large frame barrels.
The talk was "they're coming end of summer, we're testing now"

IE: it's not on the website to order something because it's being tested.

Does anyone have a series of 5x5's or several 10 shot groups with these barrels?
3 shot groups might be an indicator, but surely need some additional verification.

MM
The PVA IG page has a number of various 5 shot groups and 8-10 shot groups posted as well as this thread has several 10 shot groups posted (look up about 10 posts from your own for one of them). Most of them with factory ammo.

Is there anything special you've had to do to get the 6CM to cycle properly? I've heard of people having issues with the 6CM for whatever reason.
This is one of the things we're testing now, but when it's sorted we won't be advertising how to make it work all over the internet.

Slight thread jack but I bought the PVA Rolland special looking barrel/comp and was shocked at how effective it is. Glock 19 feels like a 380 with +p gold dots and cycles great with all my stuff. I was really surprised.
Glad you like it! The G19 barrels it was developed for are quite the product as well.

6.5 Creedmoor

I recently had a new Surgeon Scalpel cut down to 18”, I am thinking the 130’s -or- 120’s will be a good starting point with 4350 or Varget and running slightly hotter loads in hopes of getting back some of the lost velocity. My question is am I wrong in my theory, if so, why? Secondly, what has been the experience with loading ammo for shorter barrel Creedmoor’s?

Israel/iran

Was holed up here at the house catching up on some reloading, had the Dish Network TV on for some background noise. The shameless fucks were running commercials for donations for Israel because they were being attacked by those big meanie Iranians. You’d have thought it was all one sided aggression by the tone of the commercial.

Israel our welfare Queen crying for more money because they started a war they wanted.

Israel/iran

9/11 was what was needed to move things along for the next phase.
The Cold War meant big $$$ Everybody loved that.
No big boogeyman = poors...

Yugoslavia was too quick and didn't give the $$$ high they wanted

Gulf War 1 gave them a taste that the sandwars could give them $$$$$$ and lots of raging wood.

But it ended kind of quickly and wasn't the forever war they needed, so they had to have 9/11 to kick start folks being willing to be stupidly jingoistic and spend like the next 30 years fighting a war on everyone around the world that doesn't like us...

Iran is just the next stage of the same forever war.

We are now on the final country of pre-planned wars that General Wesley Clark talks about:

Not what l expected

No offense to you, but your BA barrel might need more breaking in.
It is a "bargain" priced barrel... and isn't known to be great shooters out of the box.

Clean the barrel thoroughly... "feeling" for any burrs while doing so.... I could be as simple as a burr at the gas port.

Frankly, some Aero / BA barrels have been known to be a "hit or miss" out of the box.

AND... as mentioned, I also agree with the don't shoot one OEM round right after another... in my experience, a barrel needs to be "seasoned" in to any round... IE I allow a group of ( at least ) 5rds to be a throw away group, prior to shooting that ammo for precision.
I have seen groups shrink as the barrel "seasons" in to the next OEM load... not just sometimes, not every time ... but enough to realize it does matter.

I would suggest 2 different approaches...
Try a variety of OEM 77gr ammo... to try and find a round it likes. It can work.

Some barrels just don't like Hornady bullets Ogives.

The 77gr TMK is known to be fussy, at times.

Or replace the barrel now, with a better barrel. All my Criterion barrels shoot very well.

I realize the second version sounds a bit drastic... but... you might spend a crap load of money , on ammo, trying to "make" the BA barrel shoot to your expectations.

FWIW... I have one FN CHF SS .223 Wylde 20" 1n7 barrel, that only really likes one, specific brand 77gr ammo.... and I tried a ton of different OEM 77gr loads trying to make that one shoot the way I wanted.

Being a stubborn cuss... I would probably try a few of the "bargain" priced 77gr loads available.
PSA / AAC makes moderately priced 77gr loads, PMC, Sellier and Bellot, PPU as well.
