Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

There's a classic one of these from the sixties. Kids would drop "F" bombs as Graffiti on bridges, and other structures. Someone would come behind them and alter the "F" to a "B" and the other two letters. So you'd see "Book" instead of "F***." :ROFLMAO:
Book instead of Fook? WTFook? 🤔🤨🧐

Rifle Scopes Top tier scope recommendation

Yep.
They all think a 6000 scope is a requirement. I mean true, 6000 scopes have incredible pictures, but they break too. Not as often but they do. What people confuse is whether or not they're a requirement in doing what they do. The answer is obviously not, or there wouldnt be people out there making 1300 meter shots with lower end scopes, or winning PRS matches with something other than a zco or tangent.
There is a point of diminishing returns, but you pay for the additional performance at the margins. In my experience people aren't spending that kind of money for ego, generally if you are going to that level of optics, there is a very specific reason for it and it wasn't met until the end user got to that level. years ago scopes with a consistent zero stop started at 2k, so to get that you had to invest at least that much. things have certainly changed and move forward for the better.

all that said, you'll only know what you need or best suits your application and your eyes by getting behind the optic. I've always said different eyes see and perceive things differently.

that gen is about gone. in my mind the only reason i will ever vote again is out of respect for them. my parents believed the narrative that they fought under til the very end. they were all pretty much of the same mind and believed they fought for freedom and believed that FDR saved the country during the depression. deep state was alive even back then and had the story hard wired.

M40A3/5 PGW rails discontinued

That's incredibly annoying.

It's a shame, PGW had some cool products. They were/are a very poorly ran company.
Sadly i agree. Bought a Timberwolf package with Premier Reticle scope from them. Then bought a Coyote in .260. When i bought the coyote, i specifically asked for a 45moa rail for the Timberwolf, and they processed my order, but never sent the rail requested. Reached out to them and was ghosted. The reason i bought the EFR from them is because of the tariff war going on right now made it very cost prohibitive to order from Badger or Sol.

“Glowie is now following you “

I mean, it isn't like you displayed the kind of behavior that brings attention...

A dude could have three testicles, and one of them randomly lights up and plays music... and he'd still be less conspicuous in public than a lot of your posts man.

Rifle Scopes Meopta 2025. Big things comeing

Well, a month after paying $80 to send in my Meostar 15x56's for a collimation issue, I finally get a $516 quote for repair and return shipping, bank transfer only. This makes the total repair $600! I have no idea how the binos failed, as I have not dropped them and they had no sign of damage except double vision. I would highly suggest using another optic brand.

What cars you fools have?

I just looked at the 911 wiki page -- it was either 997 or 991 model, from the looks of things.

Targas from my youth driving (1970s/80s) had that wide Targa roof bar, which my brother's car did not have. But still could be a Targa I guess, I'm not up on 21st Century or even late 20th C cars, to my great shame!
Not a Targa, but this was my 991 C2S. Among other things, the headlights were different on the 997.

What would be a slight step up from .

NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE CHEAP SCOPES!!!!
This is why drunks who run their mouths and pick fights with random people in bars aren't long for the world. At some point they're going to call out the wrong person. In this case you're telling the reigning MMA champ what a badass you are, and what a pussy he is. The guy could make you cry and choke you out without spilling his beer. Fortunately for you he is too mellow to engage the stupid drunk he can easily dispatch.

DeLane Development Group Rimfire Ventures

Mike,
does the 1.2 version of the firing pin/shroud off the adjustability of the later models, just without the easy takedown?
Yessir, the 1.2 adjusts the same way, however, the thread pitch on the firing pin and cocking piece in the original 1.2 was 48 tpi. The thread pitch after that is 64 tpi. So, anyone needing either a cocking piece or a firing pin for a 1.2 will need to get both to step up to the 64 tpi assembly.

The takedown is no different than the Remington 700, but the Remington 700 thread bolt shroud is 1/2-13 and I used 1/2-20 on the Gen 1 and Gen 1.2 to smooth out the bolt function.

Why do people load so hot?

Why not collect the rest of, and more relevant data? That's like punching your load into your powder thrower and not measuring the result.

I don't do it to "make comments", I do it so I know what I'm working with.

Or, just don't measure anything and keep on keeping on. You do you.

I could not care any less what the case weights are. I only care about group size and making good wind calls. If I get those right, with a 308 I can make cold bore 600 yard A-zone and 800 yard silhouettes every time. That is what I care about.

Gunsmithing Lathe 101 - (DFW, N. TX)

I have not run a lathe or worked with metal, so I'm starting from scratch. I have access to a lathe and mill in my uncle's shop, but his lathe wont hold the tolerances for barrel work. It will be a great place to practice general skills though.
Go take old barrel stubs and practice learning to thread a muzzle. It’ll teach you the general aspects of measuring, turning, threading, facing and how to hit the emergency off switch real quick lol
Then it’s just the reaming from there but you can learn 90% of it with uncle buck
