I've used Bushnells Customer service just recently due to them sending out a 5-30 Match Pro instead of the 3-18 on accident with absolutely outstanding customer service, they didn't even wait for me to return the 5-30 before sending me my 3-18.
About a year ago I had a Elite Tactical 6-36x53 which is one of their Flagship Scopes that I accidentally scratched the objective lens and they sent me replacement no questions asked.
I'm not quite sure on the new rumors of bad customer service, I haven’t heard anything in that regards.
I've never really had to deal with their customer service for anything legitimate because the Elite Tactical Scope line just don't break.
I now have around seven or eight of the Match Pro 3-18 on a wide assortment of rifles from .300 WM all the way down to 22LR and have had nothing but perfect reliability.
The two different scope you're comparing are wildly different in regards to magnification features and size, so it's impossible for me to attempt a Apple to Apples comparison.
The Bushnell MP 3-18 IMO is the best scope in the mid $750 range on the market, it perfectly fits the SPR/DMR Role.
For me other than the above mentioned features, what really seals the deal on them is they have chosen the perfect reticle thickness. It just pops to my eye, clear and crisp and is thick enough to actually use the lower magnification but still thin enough to shoot tiny groups at 100M at 18x.
Also I have the 3-18 in several different scope mounts at the moment, Nightforce, Geissele, Badger Ordnance, Larue, Bobro... they all work well. Just pick one by a quality reputable manufacturer that best suits your height over bore and eye relief requirements
