Gotta see how factory does first. But yes, I know it's a probability. Current parts list already doubled the purchase price, without including a scope and rings. Not into Vudoo $$ territory- yet.

I have only adjusted the screw to the top of the trigger housing, it's at 3.5 lbs

Our oldest boy is a tool designer and does programming as well. His place got wind that he was looking at a different shop to go to... called him into the office... asked him not to go... the raise they gave him... I was floored. He was shocked himself and he didn't even ask for more money! This was just two weeks ago.

I agree. Smart business people in a profession that needs skilled workers knows how tough competent good help is to find. That's why they offered your son more money! Finding qualified help is tough, then can said help do the right job? There lies the risk. There are people who can talk a good job, delivering a good job can be a totally different story! I don't miss those days one bit!!!!!!!!!! I had a handful of friends I made from joining a trade association, we were competitors, but we respected one another. With two of those friends we'd share help, if one of us was slow, or in need of help for a big project. The agreement was we'd pay the same salary and we wouldn't try and steal the guy. It was a great way to get good help in a pinch, and good workers stayed busy. Win win, it worked well for all parties concerned.

Have they mentioned if they have XM action compatibility coming? Seems like a good upgrade path from my ACC chassis for what I need.

You could call Bartlein directly and tell them exactly what you want to do with the gun and they will help you specify the perfect barrel. They are awesome.

I'd suggest heavy varmint with 1.0" muzzle for the contour. Bartlein doesn't list it, but they make it often and will know exactly what you mean. This is a heavy contour but not too heavy. If it's just for shooting prone or from a bench at long distance then this is a great option.

I'd suggest 28" finished length. You don't have to worry about specifying the length to Bartlein. The blank should come at 29" and can be made to any length 28 or shorter by your gunsmith.

I'd suggest a 7.7 twist or 7.5 twist. In my experience going with more twist than necessary can hurt precision. That bullet works perfectly in a 7.7 twist so no reason to go faster.

I'd recommend 4 groove. It's easier for your smith to dial in and they shoot as good or better than 5R.

Don't worry about specifying hand lapping. All Bartleins are lapped and they know what they are doing.

Are you running both a dry sump pump and a vacuum pump or are they separate scavenge and pressure pumps ?
