Sig Kilo 5K vs Leica CRF-PRO

Looking at these two rangefinders don’t have a kestrel and don’t trust the reliability of a constant blue tooth link to my phone so I’ll be using the internal solver. Looks like Leica has a compass and the wind can be adjusted in the unit itself. Does anyone have any input or recommendations? I’m hesitant to go binocular because I’m married to it.
That an for any input.

Geissele Cut Rifled SPR Build and Barrel Evaluation. (Part 4 (Load Development 28MAY25) Update!!!

Reality is that I do not expect a 55 gr to group like a 69-77gr. If I am shooting 55s it is in blaster mode and if I can hit a 3”-4” plate out to 100yrd then it is plenty accurate. It I want accuracy I shoot longer bullets. That us why I tend to use 7 twist although I do have two 8 twist barrels that do fine up to 77, but are very happy with 69TMKs.

Switching between manners stocks

Just as a data point of one, I have a LRH mini chassis that just won’t get the same level of precision as other LRH’s I own. Tried multiple barreled actions in the suspect stock. Tried multiple action screw torque values from 50 in-lbs front/45 back, to 90 and 90. Same hand loads. Take a barreled action from that stock and drop it into one of my other LRH’s and holes on target don’t lie. I did this with five barreled actions (2 defiance and 2 impacts, one Mac bros element), with barrels from Bartlein, Carbon 6 and Mullerworks chambered by very well known gunsmiths with very strong reputations nationally and definitely in competition shooting. It is repeatable and noticeable.

I have no real idea what the issue is with that stock. I suspect there is a straightness issue in the mini chassis layup, causing some small stress on the actions. The group sizes consistently reflected tighter groups in a different LRH, TCS, TS Customs KS1 and Foundation Gideon.

I think a careful bedding job would solve the problem, I just haven’t done it yet. Part of the attraction to the mini chassis is not being tied to one action, but I probably need to just bite the bullet and bed it.

Good shoot, but who was the fucking idiot who kept walking into the line of fire? Spouse of the hostage maybe?

Regardless, good shoot but there’s a lot of things to take away from that re: how fucking stupid the average citizen is when it comes to firearms safety, or even basic cause and effect (AKA Common Sense).
it is refreshing to see the cops shoot somebody that needs it. sucks because there are plenty that need it and many examples of just the opposite.
and yea,the libs will whine that any fatal and justified shoot should have been in the arm or leg. shown is the skill level that should be mandatory from anyone authorized to use lethal force. a very impressive shot under high stress situation.

Night Vision Athlon Cronus CL35 640 - first impressions, first hunt

Very happy with my unit, especially for what I paid for it on EV. Zeroed once, four separate hunting trips of daily off and on, and still holding zero. Only complaint is buttons are hard to differentiate with gloves on. Image in videos could be much better but just need good enough to kill stuff. 6.5CM AR10 shooting factory Hornady 100 ELD VT. Zeiss LRP S3 4-25 recorded with a trigger cam.

6.5 Creedmoor

New 26" Preferred Barrel (1/8 twist) on Ruger American Action
Looking to run 140/144/153 Bergers with H4350
I have some 140s in hand for barrel break in.
Previously I was running 143 ELDxs fairly slow so I don't need a smoking hot load (at least for now). Starline and Lapua brass.
How do the 153s fit in the case and mag? is 1/8 twist good for 153s at 600 - 1000yds?
Thanks and have a great week. Will report back once I have decent load/target.
Dang!
I have some more brass to fire form to this new barrel but I am now out of H4350. I may use up another powder. what sayest the most accomplished of basement dwellers?
I have some reloader 16(opened), reloader 17, Winchester Sta-ball 6.5
I will most likely use R16 up first.

Alright, so Ukraine just launched a massive drone terror attack on Russian air bases, when tomorrow, Zelensky is sending a delegation to Istanbul for supposed ceasefire talks.

The Trump admin confirmed they were NOT informed of this attack.

Zelensky continues to sabotage any attempts at resolving this situation diplomatically. He continues to provoke Putin, and allegedly tried to take Putin’s life via drone attack on his helicopter.

Maybe now Trump will understand why it is Putin has been striking the hell out of Ukraine, because Zelensky continues to play games, in the hopes of dragging NATO into the conflict directly to fight Russia for them.

The odds of a peace deal happening just went down dramatically, and I’m not sure how much longer Putin is going to tolerate this. Zelensky has never had any intentions of ending this war peacefully, because when it ends, he is a dead man, and he knows it.

Now all eyes move to Trump to see how he responds to this attack. Hopefully, this event will be the straw the breaks the camel’s back, and gives Trump the optics to go scorched earth on Zelensky and fully cut him off, and justify backing the US out of NATO.
Copied from an email

Didn’t Lady G (Sen Lindsey Graham) just visit the Ukes recently?

Suspect Zelensky was given orders from the MIC; likely ones that contravene Trump’s agenda.

Where I live, a Laotian lady told me that her brothers and father hunt squirrels and sell them to other Laotians for $10 each. The Laotians consider the squirrels a delicacy.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

unlike us and 9/11,the Russians know who did it. would assume the train hit was Uke. i'm sure some things will be tightened up. saw a blurb somewhere that a big response is on the way.
looks like the midget is still in the hard line game. escalation of any kind seems suicidal but i guess the gains for Z and the international MIC are worth it to them.

25cm or 6cm

x2. splitting hairs imo inside 500, go with the lower recoil. especially if you want to shoot 110-120 weight 25 cm bullets, you're losing some of the terminal performance benefits by not shooting heavy for caliber bullets in 25cm. 108 ELDM is a great hunting bullet too. if you are shooting long range cross canyon out west 7-800 plus (which most shouldn't be doing anyways) I can see the case for 25 cm where the 133 ELDM and 128 eldx ballistic benefits increase the further you're shooting, but other than that you're splitting hairs and should go with the more shootable lighter recoiling cartridge imo. if it matters too 6cm factory 108 eldm is pretty easy to find on shelves.
This is spot on.
