If you are wishing you had a reason to shoot someone, shooting a person is nothing to romanticize or fanaticize about. False bravado gets a lot of people backed into corners they lack the ability to escape from. Whether you want to believe it or not, once you actually shoot another person your life is changed forever, not matter the circumstances.

People don't know that the entire Waco incident was the result of a property tax scheme.

Benjamin Roden formed the "Branch Davidians" and made the Mount Carmel "compound" property of his "church" so that he wouldn't have to pay tax on it.

George Roden tried to come at Koresh in court after he was run off, to get the family land back... except it wasn't his "family land," it belonged to the Church- and Koresh was now the head of the Church, at the request of the congregation. All solid and legit.

If Roden kept it in his own name, it would have been passed down hereditarily to his son- and Koresh might have formed his own little group or joined a touring rock band or opened a range or whatever.

Roden contacted police and alleged guns, drugs*, child molestation and anything else that would get Koresh and his "disloyal" flock murdered by the state.

*The drug angle was actually how they got the National Guard involved:

Suspicions that cult leader David Koresh was operating an illicit drug lab prompted federal agents to seek assistance from the National Guard in the raid.

I've had kind of similar results with the Staball line, 6.5 is one of my go to powders, especially for Creedmoor, Match is also a good addition to the stable, but HD has not been stand out for me where I tried it in 7 PRC.

I just wish I had started doing this 20 years ago. I feel like I’m way behind the curve and look at these events as opp to possibly make up ground to get closer to where I feel like I should be at my age.

When I first started investing I'll admit I was fairly conservative, still am to some degree. In the beginning of my investing career I read a lot of Peter Lynch and Buffet and that has guided my choices. Boring I'll admit but I'm a blue collar guy, so I try to be smart with my money.

All I’m saying is, don’t panic. Look at this as an opp to buy at wholesale prices.

I started both of my girls with a regular 10/22 with the stock cut down to a proper length of pull. Both are right hand but left eye dominant so I started them off as lefties. Never had an issue with the ejection of a right handed model. I moved my oldest(15) to a Tikka T1 when she got old enough to fit the LOP of the stock, not a lot of options for left handed bolt guns with a threaded barrel. My youngest switches between the 10/22 and a S&W 15-22. The adjustable LOP on it is very nice. She's still at the age(11) of just plinking steel for fun and doesn't want anything to do with shooting slow with a bolt gun.

Looks like they have lost there fn minds. $2k plus !!!@@ really! If I drop that kind of coin on an optic it will have something else on the side of it. They are not the only ones. Even leapers got one $1k plus now. In the market for a 3-18 or 4-20 shopping and comparing. Looking for budgetishhh optic for an ar spr ish. For that kind of price it had beter have some damned good glass. IMHO which don't mean a damn thing. Just not getting my $$$$.

I've been investing in market for 35 years (I'm NO expert by a long shot) started in my late 20's. Seen good times and bad times, market has its ups and downs that ive learned to accept that over the my early years investing . Being patient and calm is more productive than panic. Monday will probably be ugly, will ween out the faint of heart. Tuesday will be turning day, hopefully upward or at least the bottom and market support gets started. Learned a lot from October 87.

I would try milt sparks in Idaho, I used to use Bullard leather but I am not sure they are still around.

Go with the scout. I used a 452 scout to bring in both of my kids. It is a great starter. Some may disagree as it isn’t a single shot rifle but train them in safety and to load one at a time, then move to using the mag.
