AR Tuning question

I have a BCM 14.5 rifle with stock bcm buffer system. I shot out the stock barrel, rebarreled with Gieselle 14.5 chf. Superlative adjustable gas. Stock bolt. I ran it in a class for 1500 rounds. No problems. I put on an sjc titan brake. The rifle runs but will not lock back on the last round. Even with full gas. When you hold bolt stop down on last round, it locks back on the carrier not bolt face. I put in a jp scs with stock spring out of another rifle and it works with full gas and locks back, but move that gas 1 click and doesn’t lock back.

What do I need to change on this? Lighter spring? Carrier? Buffer weight? Thanks!
The smart ass response that popped into my head was to say get rid of the brake.

There are a couple of things you can do. First, if you're running the setup 1500 rounds at a time, I definitely wouldn't go lighter on the spring. That will probably cause you to have failures to go into battery when it gets dirty. This is, of course, assuming that you're using what would be considered the standard rate spring. If you're using a heavier spring, then drop down to whatever would be considered stock.

You could get rid of the adjustable gas block. All AGBs leak at least a bit. You could also reduce the buffer weight.

I'd get rid of the adjustable gas block and tune with buffer. weight.

We may finally know who’s been to the island

I can remember all the Qanon stuff going around what feels like a decade ago and thinking how in the hell can none of these people realize the OBVIOUS scenario that Trump himself is definitely deeply implicated in all of this.

Dude was notoriously barging into preteens locker rooms and accused of buying a teen girl pageant just so he could harass them and force himself into their changing areas at the horror of their parents and the employees of the events. This was all heavily documented before the guy ever considered politics.

However many rape charges, with the way he talks all the time like sure write off half of them as political underhanded stuff, well what about the other half.

Never ceases to amaze me the hoops people will jump through to ignore the obvious.
Not only that but his mentor was Roy Cohn who was a professional blackmailer, ran gay orgies with underage boys at studio 54 and died of GRID/AIDS after decades of sodomy and is now burning in hell.

Trump was also bailed out by the Roschild bank of commerce in the 90s and Wilbur Ross ...

brand new car urge

looks like the blower kit voids the engine/drivetrain warranty the dealer in panama city said they can install it ,they are a ford performance dealer [he says]
Talk to Whipple and see what it takes to retain their warranty... NOW they may be owning the power train and Ford owns the rest of the 3/36... I dont know.

Do not put a blower on a naturally aspirated engine without tearing into the engine you gotta open up the ring gap ,you need different exhaust valves, valve springs. Rods, and pistons probably wouldn’t be a bad idea on a coyote either. You can do it without some motor work, but it ain’t gonna last

You LITERALLY can have a Ford deal bolt on a whipple kit, flash a tune, and still retain 3/36 warranty... Ford sells it. Its like 13-14k installed. They offer it on the F150 5.0, Mustang 5.0 and the 7.3 Godzilla.

The blower is not even trying at those power levels. The same kit with injectors and a few other things makes like +75hp. The same kit with a pulley makes like +125hp... The stage 2 and 3 or whatever kits dont retain the warranty.

6ARC gas systems and A5 buffer systems and factory ammo...what's the baseline?

Ya, I got an announcement email from Surefire and then the flyer from PA. All the delayed stuff in ARs kind of interest me, within their own niche applications. Like what Broad River Tactical is doing with the CMMG radial delayed 9 mm PCCs. Griffins gas pocket BCG has the Kspec stuff going on, plus a long stroke delayed response if paired with their bolt and buffer/ spring for short barreled suppressed applications.

I wonder if the delayed unlocking would at the very least help treat your brass a little better. Maybe spread some recoil out, and potentially, maybe/ maybe not even reduce some of the gas blow back coming down the barrel into the action.

There was a fella that did a whole bunch of high-speed camera work showing the merits of the A5 system in various guns and his vids with the HK416 and the A5h4 are what sold me on the idea.

I very much would like to see the same on the Surefire done in the same fashion...and with various calibers.

Barrett MRAD Questions

I’m not sure what the fuck’s the matter with you but your reading comprehension sucks. “Bolt heat”? You don’t need to heat the bolt body up to change anything out on an AI. Maybe you’re hammered?

Anyway, it doesnt matter what you think.

The MRAD is a great platform as I’ve already stated and nowhere did I suggest one was overall better than the other but if you’re going try to argue barrel changes are faster on the MRAD (or any other MC system) than an AI w/Quicklock, well I’d love to have some of what you’re drinking (or smoking).

Then again, you’ve also decided to spend literally thousands of dollars on optics you don’t need so that you can avoid a few minutes of rezeroing after a barrel change and recording/confirming the shifts in your dope so I can’t say I am surprised.
I have both. The AI is more accurate.
