brand new car urge

yes break things because its warrentied.

just brilliant. You sound like the 2020 protestors who think destroying property is okay because it's insured.

Or you could correct the issue on the front end and not worry about it.

Gapping the rings, changing the exhaust valves and better springs is not 15K.

Not even with rods and pistons, which you don't need but would be insurance.

When did I say basically "purposely break things" as you are insinuating??? I didnt. I have said many times FORD will honor the warranty with their blower package on the car. FORD has a lot more experience and engineering into that to say "we will guarantee this for 3/36k"... My point is if Ford is willing to honor the 3/36k even WITH the blower... who cares if the motor blows up... let Ford take care of it.

In your case you say "pull the motor apart on a brand new car and do xyz to keep this from happening" and then, GUESS WHAT, you ACTUALLY HAVE NO WARRANTY from that point forward... that sounds real smart...

I can buy the ring gap theory due to higher cylinder pressures and temps.

Coyote's have stainless exhaust valves from the factory... so what does changing exhaust valves gain you? I mean you could go to inconel to handle some more heat...

And why "better" valve springs? Coyote's will spin to 7k+ on factory valve springs just fine and do that for 100's of thousands of miles... Putting a heavier spring in "just because" is not really a fix for anything except increased cam, valve train and valve seat wear. If you dont need a higher rate spring in order to control valve train at higher RPM's, just putting them in for the sake of putting them in is pointless. So now you have a valve train that is pushing against a higher rate spring to open valves as well as trying to open valves against boost... I can "sort of" buy higher rate intake valve springs on an FI car to help keep the valve closed while the intake tract is pressurized... but again valve spring rate needs to be matched to RPM capabilities otherwise you are just wearing parts for the sake of wearing parts... The other part of valve springs getting changed is if you change cams and the springs you have will hit coil bind with a higher lift cam. Ive been through the gamut of spring selection when building my current road race motor... singles, doubles, bee-hive vs. conical, rates, installed height, coil bind, resonance frequencies, etc... There is so much more to valve spring selection than just "I want better springs"...

Is N150 a throat torcher??

The generated figures that I've seen had N150 as a fairly cool-burning powder, while Varget was near the opposite (hot) end. The accuracy of that generation is something that I cannot attest to though.

Length of bullet, pressure, powder charge weight, rate of fire, etc... are other factors that will affect barrel life.

I'm not smart enough to be able to figure any of it out. I've never generated any objective research of my own. I just regurgitate stuff from the guys who have (Litz et al.). Obviously there is something there as a .243 and a .308 have significantly different barrel lives with the only real difference being bore diameter.

2 mags dumped, 0 perps hit guess who

Was it acorns? Because when this happens in the Midwest its an unknown acorn flinging perp usually.

Thank God this genius went home safe.

Years ago I was sport fucking a lady cop. She was entertaining to fuck, she liked giving road head and got wetter the more likely it was that we got stopped. Then one day she was involved in a shoot out.

She shot a house, her cars hood several times and reloaded. Then she shot the front fender a nearby tree and some yard. The "perp" was a despondent mid 50s white guy having his 798th DV with his drunken cunt wife. She had called it in and said he was armed. He was sitting on the porch, holding a gun by his side and had intended to shoot himself so he could get some peace and quiet from his cunt wife.

#2 genius cop arrives, guy still sitting on porch, gun still at side has not said a word or listened to a command. #2 goes around house and shoots guy in back with shotgun from 5 yards without announcing himself. He was the hero nagantguy is always looking for. Perp never moved or made any aggressive moves.

The guys wife had told 911 her husband was Rambo and John Wick so she was freaking out when she arrived and lost her shit. Guy never raised gun or fired a shot, she missed about two dozen times. I offered to take her shooting a lot more. She asked so I told her she shouldn't have freaked out at the sight of a gun, 70% of America has a gun. Recommended maybe she should have started with talking to the guy? Did not go well.

No more road head, no more fucking 5 mins after arriving at her place. She didn't want to go shooting for damn sure. She sucked with a firearm and had no intention of getting better. She didn't think the rest of us should own guns. Somehow my military service made my shooting team stuff okay.

Her beliefs on firearms ownership, her shitty skill level and training were par for the course for most cops.

Why So Many Young Americans Fall for Socialism.

Agreed.
Taught by who?
The current crop of "educators" by and large are DEFINITELY not qualified. I'd guess we are another 2-3 generations away from having responsible folks as educators, ESPECIALLY K-8.

I would say that it would take as many committed people on "our side" of the debate as theirs. They'd have to actually pursue being an educator or LEO etc... whatever public service job that they would be content with.

^ The immediate problem with my statement above is that the left created barriers to "our" entry into those jobs in the form of affirmative action programs. It is that way for a reason... However, education is still an easier barrier to get through. I even did it when I got my teaching certification in OK.

I just stole this from the MPT as it gave me a chuckle...
