I bet he shows up on time for the USA next time. Phone Co. in these parts likes to play auger roulette. Digging up the phone makes me smile
I have magwells on several of Wilson 1911s and they are very non intrusive. I have not put them on ANY of my WC EDC X9 variants for the reasons you mentioned. Tried one in a shop and it felt un-natural.All the 2011's I ever shot were race guns, all with large magwells on them. Shooting them always felt like someone shaking my hand and squeezing too hard, squeezed between the magwell and the grip safety. I found them uncomfortable. I passed on a few amazing deals because of it.
All my 1911's have the grip safety deactivated for the reason you mention, pushing up and levering the safety out.
Of course when I finally shot a 2011 without a magwell I realized I liked them just fine. Oh well.
I also found quite by accident, that the Atlas high safety changes my grip just enough to make the grip safety work, at least on the CS Staccato. I haven't tried one on a 1911, I'm afraid to. That would be a lot of money in safeties and grip safeties to change them all over.
My posted too many times in too many places, big hand-high grip 1911 pic.

I had a similar thought about mine at first and used the drop tube to hold the shell holder in place. But, that's not the way to hold it in place. There are two removeable hard stop disks to insert at the back of the shell holder that holds it in place:it's on the bottom where tube goes into. it locks the shell holder carrier, so it can't be slide out.
Try a green dot.
You nailed it. This is a great scope for the money, but again I can’t get over CHINA.I had a bunch of 2-12 Athlons, but gradually they have been replaced by S&B 3-12 Klassiks. The Athlon is better at bad breath distance, and has a much better dialability.
The glass in the S&B is just better, and unfortunately a 20% improvement costs 300% more.
So be it.
What I'd like to see is the 2-12 made in Japan. They'd rule the world.
A couple of the guys in our moto group run Mousse inserts and the others run Tubliss set up. I have Tubliss on both my bikes and have had great luck. The only issue I have with the mousse inserts is they breakdown over time and need to be replaced every year ish.Lower pressure is the biggest thing, the nut on the stem sounds like it's not quite tight enoughI have much better luck with flats with tubeless also. I use the E13 Shraeder valve stems. I despise the run of the mill presta tubeless valve stems. Orange seal endurance for sealant.
I do use the Tubolight SL inserts to help with side wall strength and damaging rims ( somewhat like a mousse inserts that only fills part of the volume. ) when we get dirt bikes soon, I plan on running mousseballs or something similar.
Because of pregnant women, the number of skeletons in a human body is statistically not one.
Akshully its proper name is a Wakizashi(脇差. You’d know that if you had studied the art of the blade as extensively as I.
