Depends on the reason.

Im not terribly knowledge able on the subject and open to learning, but it seems in the long run shipping it from SA or Iraq would be more expensive than changing our production methods to refine domestic oil.

I'd guess t would be a temporary bump until they got it re calibrated or what ever it took, then prices should drop.

Our short term profit driven system is eventually going to run itself into the ground.

The narrow minded strategy of riding a horse into the ground will bite the US in the ass.

Investing money into infrastructure that will run our own oil and make profits will be the future like it or not.

We can't expect a steady supply from anywhere except ourselves.

Point is, it might be damn hard to establish a causal relationship between the change in primers and downrange results. Hell, just thinking they might not work as well will likely make you shoot worse. Shoot them and don’t worry about it.

If that is indeed primer compound I am not sure how or why you defend inconsistent amounts of it in a primer labeled and marketed as match grade.
I am going to shoot them, if they shoot well good, if not, no more for me.

Note as expected this barrel has a very tight match grade chamber. Stripped headspaced Rubber City bolt closes extremely tight on the go gauge but I had to bump the shoulder on new Alpha brass about 3-4 thou so it would chamber without too much resistance.

Measurements from shoulder bump gauge:
New: 1.175”
Bump in order to chamber easily: 1.171”
After firing: 1.176”

This is a 18” barrel with +2” gas so dwell time is short. I was using a sprinco white spring with H1 buffer but I need to switch to carbine buffer due to it ejecting ok but not picking up the next round or locking back.
