Who did the mag blocker you are running on the Team MAX??
Nice Stock by the way!!

@RAVAGE88 Iw I'll still go thumb button and loader. I use the loader on all my magazines above 10 rounds. I found that I screw up a couple rounds and rim lock them on the longer 12 & 15 round mags if I load with the button. The new loader looks great. I still have the first Vudoo ones and some of the Hoz n' Shield ones.

@Defender32
I made the 2” brass rail, mag blockers, butt plates, and 419 data card adapter to run it on the ring tops.

Little Crow Gunworks: Avg POI Is More Important Than Group Size. Thoughts?

Yes getting SD down is important (single base extruded powders with > 98% case fill, etc.) but how do you keep your given load shooting with a consistent POI etc when the temp goes up and down? Even the “temp stable” powders aren’t impervious to temp swings.
Most ballistic calculator have the ability to set up a temp vs velocity table, or calculate a modifier.

CIVIL ASSET FORFEITURE AND FLYING THE FRIENDLY SKIES

Not sure why people carry thousands of dollars in cash. Makes no sense to me. I always have $500 but that is it.

Not sure why people need a lawyer to talk to cops. If you’ve done nothing wrong…

Not sure why people don’t allow cops to check their vehicles or homes if they have nothing to hide.

Not sure why people feel to need to be armed. That’s what police are for.

Greta almost gets smoked

Schucky-darn

She got smoked… (salmon on nice rye bread sandwich and a bagel) when they kid-gloved her and her terrorist friends out of the country.

Seriously. They got sammiches. And the “pitiful amount of aid that they didn’t consume themselves” was distributed in Gaza. Really.

Ok, Greta… what is your next attention-seeking cause? Maybe go dress up like a beaner and riot in the streets of L.A.? I’d suggest heading into East L.A. and telling off the home girls. The Cholos will show you a good time!

What a bunch of losers. Wonder what the carbon footprint of that stunt was? And who funded it? The Mossad wants to know. So does the Kidon team who will take care of the problem! Stay away from French apartment buildings and Norwegian restaurants there autism girl!

Desert Precision Gunworks 22LR Action Updates

Since I test every rifle before leaving the shop, I've been able to test all sorts of theorys in 22lr accuracy. Barrel speed seems to fall into barrel length / accuracy "nodes" and certain barrel manufacturers perform best at these nodes. Chamber Jam points also play factor in this. For majority of barrels at 22-24" I've found they typically like lots that shoot around a 1065-1090 range out the muzzle. 25-26in at 1035-1060 fps range and prefer less cartridge jam. Thiers typically a 20-30 fps difference in my barrels due to the alloy steel. DPG barrels run slightly slower with the trade off of not being lot picky. Other barrel manufacturers with tighter bores or thier 416r grade steel may run faster.
Those that shoot Eley, at 26in, brings velocities down to 1085 and keep you away from transonic/super. I personally don't see accuracy degradation at distances 300-400 yards even with ammo that is shooting 1030 FPS. I have an AR22 that will mirror a bolt gun accuracy at distances like this. Again, this is based off quantified data recorded over 4K 22lr rifle builds.
After 25+ years of chasing the precision rimfire game I have come to this exact same conclusion. About 15 years ago I settled on 24”-27” being my preferred barrel length (really the 25”-26” is my first choice). I believe that it slows ammo down far enough away from the transonic flight to create a much more stable / consistent bullet flight & the extra time in the bore allows for the soft bullet (which may not be perfect in shape or seating) to better stabilize while in the bore.

I have said this many times over the years here and in other forums but I truly do feel the longer barrels in rimfire help absorb the inconsistencies found in even the best rimfire ammo: primer compounds, charge weights, neck tension, bullet lube etc all have more variation from lot to lot and bullet to bullet in the same lot with 22lr vs precision loaded centerfire.

I couldn’t agree more!
