To be clear, wasn’t saying you weren’t being truthful, but that he wasn’t being honest about it costing him to warranty the tools. No, it's not bullpucky... he did warrantee the ratchet. But it was not a pleasant experience. Why did I not go to the dealer who I bought it from? ...I was no longer in the trades.
BTW... this took place...more then 25 years ago. Interesting enough, a few years later, ...after he quit Snap On and was no longer married, we became pretty good friends. Actually he was two different people before and after, was it the job or the marriage...who knows.
"The Great Society" problem infers that it was catalyzed by LBJ. Look at the violence rates outside of the US and I think the answer starts to crystalize.
Well, there sure are a level fuck ton of Irish, German and other whites on welfare, in jail, making meth, etc. How is this reconciled?
Comparing Rosie Odummell to a hog is unfair.
Hogs are very useful critters. Think bacon for example.
Off the top of my head I can't think of one thing Rosie would be good for.... except maybe filling her up with TNT and dropping her on an Iranian nuke sight....
Aren’t they supposedly employed in other places? Do they really make that much money in the Texas legislature?
See I have a question: is it a race problem really? That would indicate that it is a problem at the DNA level.
Or is it a Great Society problem?

The only way it hurts to warranty a tool is if your warranty expense vastly outpaces your other metrics. If your business is solid, it costs nothing including the shipping.
All this said, if you have stuff that needs replacement, go to snapon.com, fill out the form and they will send you an email with instructions. Most of the time they don’t even want the broken tools back and will ship the new tools on their dime.
