We elect a party, not a person. The party nominates a leader. Even if we don't like the leader, the whole "vote blue no matter who" mantra.

Except the election which just happened. The liberal party was led by peter dutton, an ex-cop, and thr party suffered their worst loss in YEARS, to the point that they had formed a "coalition" with another party, the nationals, to retain balance of power.

Well the nationals have broken away and liberals are dead in the water. I think next election the nationals will be bigger than the liberal party.

The county didn't vote for who they wanted, they voted to stop dutton. Quite a few independents got in also.

Oh I'm tracking now. Yeah I do have all the measurements of the stamps. When I went to the Marine Museum, they had several unissued 1966 M40's in their vault so I documented them. I took calipers with me to measure everything and then I also took rubbings of them so if I ever encountered a rifle someone said was real, I could put overlays over the stamps to see if the markings were real.

So I mean I have the measurements. It's just I had a guy input all the measurements into a file that could be used for a laser, and that is what he lost.

Is there any way that 'somewhat informative videos' could be condensed to say, 1-2 minutes? Not all of us lives in our mom's basement and do nothing but 'surf porn and such' all day.

Even though they haven't really been in style since the 2000-2010 timeframe, it's pretty damn hard to beat the oldschool Badger steel rings for durability IMO.

Sure they can get rusty if you don't take care of them, and they're heavy... but they are absolute tanks. I can't say I've ever seen one fail.

I have however seen them crush the crap out of a scope tube though when they were overtightened by someone who didn't know when to stop... lol

Regarding Spuhr, I've had 5 clamp bars crack between 11 Sphurs over 12 years or so of use. I see they're now including steel clamp bars on their newest Gen 3 models (they may have finally solved the clamp bar issue with the material change, which is something that was suggested to them several years back) but every now and then you still see new pictures and reports of cracked Spuhr ring caps, and their use of countersunk screws on the ring caps is problematic from a design standpoint. Also quite a few complaints that it's easy to strip the screw heads. Still see a lot of them though because they look pretty cool, they are available in a lot of diameter/height/cant combos, the 45 degree ring seam makes for a very low profile on the top and side so it's easy to read your turrets, and there are a lot of accessories made for them. I won't use any more though based on the problems I kept having with them over the years.

Plenty of other good mounts and rings that don't have a history of cracking like Spuhr-- Nightforce, Seekins, Badger, ARC, A419, Near, Geissele, MPA, Griffin, ERA-Tac, Reptilia, MDT, Hawkins, etc. I'm sure there's more I missed.

Right now I'm partial to ARC, Badger C1, and Hawkins. After my 5th Spuhr clamp bar cracked a few years ago I sold them all and switched brands. Right now I have 10 ARC mounts, 1 set of ARC rings, 4 Badger C1 mounts, and 2 sets of Hawkins Ultralight Tac rings that have been in service for the last 4 years or so with zero issues.

It is just the nature of the system with that vibrating tube, and some powders are gonna be worse than others, namely the larger extruded powders

Vibrators and nuts for me.

I’ll probably make some ammo in the morning and go shoot it and see how she acts. I’m not a massive fan of the mk4 even at my price and I have another new in box Cronus BTR that I may swap out for. The mk4 is nice enough but lack of illumination kinda turned out to be a thing I DO miss a lot reticle when shooting g steel against a wooded background.

I have like 3lbs of Varget and 8 lbs of the new shooters world “the creed”. I’m using Norma brass and Berger 105’s, just haven’t decided which powder to use. The creed is supposedly really close to RL15 but I can find no load data for it yet on a dasher.

May start 10% low from the RL15 loads and try it or maybe just go with varget like 93.965% of dasher shooters do…..

Lug lock doesn't work with a Vudoo action, lug is too short.

My new heavy-duty 1-piece 100% ball bearing rest will be here in the next week or so, coupled with my Foundation Benchrest hybrid stock should prove interesting for both groups and individual ARA targets. Past attempts left a lot to be desired and the other styles of rest all through shots.
