I've got a savage mk 2 that I've decided to turn into a rimfire precision competition gun - I can shoot 1" groups at 100yd with CCI standard velocity out of it.


Currently it sits in an oryx chassis with a Diamondback tactical 6-24, riding an Oryx mlok bipod.



Here's what I DON'T currently like about this setup:

-Balance is terrible
-Scope won't focus at max zoom beyond 100yd (100y is even a bit borderline)
-Bipod is terrible



Here is what I am planning to change in the next month or so:

-Full length ARCA rail
-CKYE Pod
-Stick on Wheel weights jammed into forend
-40MOA Rail
-Mlok side panels+Weights (if required)


I'm not sure exactly what to do about the scope - I may just leave it for now and see what happens later.


What do you guys think? I'll post a photo when I get home from work.

Looking to sell my used Vortex Razor HD spotter, this one is the 22-48x65 model- great for range or backcountry hunting use. Has been on a few hunts and has performed well but looking to make the jump to a Swarovski with the amount of hunting I've been doing. Before selling it I had Vortex warranty the eyepiece so the eyepiece is brand new. The sunshade part near the objective lens has some markings in the plastic (see pictures) but it does not affect function at all and there are no scratches or other blemishes in the glass.

Here we go. For those of you who have been around a while, you know this is something we do. For those of you who are newer, this is something we do. We all as a group give a hand to someone in need.

Story is this. Group of kids were traveling in a car and an intoxicated driver crossed the center line on a highway causing a head-on crash In Oklahoma.
A 15 yr old boy now is laying in the hospital with a major spinal cord injury. He currently is out of surgery and has some feeling and movement in his arms. Also in the crash, a 15 yr old girl in the car lost her life.

So, we have decided we need to do something to help out. As anyone can imagine, the stress on a family in a situation like this from all angles is huge. We are going to give a little relief on the money side of things.
