I have a like new Burris XTR3i 3.3-18x50 SCR2 Mil scope that I would like to move. Scope will come in the original box with all paperwork.

Hey guys, I have TT’s 5-25’s and they have something strange happening. Pretty much a perfectly round shadow all the sudden appears in the scope, and slowly fades away. I think I notice it after a shot is fired. Some have said is it because of cold and the heat from the barrel, and to exhale on the optic to see if I see the same thing, and I have not been able to duplicate it. Nobody seems to know.

Any ideas?

This is a very bad 3 second drawing. I have a perfect sight picture and a big perfectly round faint shadowy circle appears, and very slowly fades away after 10-20 seconds

Just got into 6arc, can I use the 6cm trimmer collet for 6 ARC and the 300wm for 300 prc or do I need new ones? Thanks

This runout business is driving me nuts. Let me preface this by saying I don’t know that I can tell any difference for my practical purposes of a bullet with more runout than another. This is more or less me being pissed I have a flaw somewhere in my reloading process. Maybe one of you guys can point me in the right direction. Here is my process for any round but in this case let’s focus on the 6BR.

1. Co-Ax Press
2. Deprime brass with deprimer only
3. Stainless tumble
4. Anneal
5. Full length size with Forster FL sizer with expander removed
6. Measure neck runout with Sinclair gauge. Most brass 0-.001 runout. So maybe some slight runout induced in sizing step.
7. Lube necks with dry lube powder and run 20th Century titanium expander die through the cases. Maybe slightly more runout induced. Most still now below .002.
8. Seat Berger 105 with SAC seater and measure runout. Some are now measuring .007. I can get similar results with Forster comp seater.

I’ve google searches and it doesn’t really bring up anything. Does anyone have one?

How visible is the reticle at 4x? I don’t expect to see .2 hash marks well defined, but is the reticle usable for an aiming point without searching for it?

How is it in low light? What mag do you need to run it at to be visible the last few minutes of legal shooting light?

Does anyone in the Tampa area have a ZCO420 with any flavor reticle I could fondle in exchange for a burger and a beer?

Selling this awesome chassis that comes with painted siderails and all weights. Bought from a member here about a year and a half ago and shot as my main PRS gun. Chassis has scratches in the usual places (arca rail mostly) and some very light surface rust on a few of the black bolts and mag catch. This can be easily cleaned up if you're so inclined but want to point it out in the interest of full disclosure. I live right by the beach here in socal so its something I have to deal with but isn't a huge deal.

Comes with NV bridge (also painted but not pictured), 3 grips, 3 thumbrests, and the trigger finger supports. Has internal weights installed and siderails as pictured, with siderail weights and buttstock weight pulled out.

Missing one weight bolt which can be matched up at the hardware store most likely or just left (each side weight has 2). Also missing one thumbshelf screw which I never had but works fine with 2.

These chassis can handle a 1.25" straight barrel.

So Im thinking of upgrading to a Zermatt Arms TL3. I just wanted your guys' opinions as to what your thoughts are on them. Where do you guys get your barrels? Are you guys that have them happy with the setup and the barrel changes? I have shot nothing but Remington 700 and Savage for 12 years and from what Im seeing I could upgrade actions and basically change barrels myself for about what it would cost for me to buy a blank and have my GS chamber and install a new barrel.
Anything Im missing? Anything to pay attention to and be aware of? Those actions are a chunk of change and I would like to hear what you guys think.

I've updated the calculator to allow the input of atmospheric conditions and finer output intervals (50 and 25 yards). The bullet picker is now greatly improved as well, so that you don't have a million options in the drop down.

Next up, I'm thinking about adding a density altitude option (instead of temp/pressure/humidity), adding more bullets, and printable tables/wind charts (downloadable as pdf's).

I'm really trying to keep the interface straightforward an accessible to people unfamiliar with ballistics while including the features that we really do use and need.
