Semi custom or full custom bolt gun?

I’m debating with myself whether or not there are good enough factory barreled actions out there or if I should just wait longer to save up for a full custom. For context I’m still building a 6mm arc bolt gun that’s mainly just for long range target shooting but I’ll use it to hunt as well. I want a longer barrel to take full advantage of the velocity I can get out of the pretty moderate cartridge. I plan on shooting the projectiles in the 105-110 range. I have a lot of cfe 223 that isn’t being used. Since it is a pretty light recoiling cartridge I can get a pretty light system I plan on using a brake simply because I just can’t afford a suppressor yet. I really like the idea of the Christensen mpr but I know christensen has had a lot of issues recently and I don’t like the 16 inch barrel, maybe just buy the bare chassis? I had a Howa mini action in 6 arc I was in love with but unfortunately had to part ways with because of financial issues. On a somewhat related note does anyone know of any other mini length custom actions out there I can’t find diddly on if another than Howa currently makes one.

Left Hand Sale Left hand 6 dasher

Looking at selling this lefty special. Very accurate, with .25-.5 mos groups (more so user error) and moa out to 1k with 107 sierra match kings and varget

Hawk hill barrel chambered in 6 dasher with a 1:7 twist. Bighorn origin action. MPA Comp chassis. Timney Calvin Elite Trigger. Redding dies. Peterson brass 125ish pieces. I dont have true count.

Great shooting rifle, but I don’t use it enough for me to justify having it. Also looking to get into gas gun.

Does not come with can, optic, bipod. Just what’s listed above. Pm me for more. Would prefer to sell FTF, but willing to travel. Looking for 2250. Located NW Pennsylvania. Updated to include location and to remove the eyesore of homework that was turned into my class😂

SOLD Aziak ridgeline tripod

Brand new Aziak Ridgeline carbon fiber tripod. Picked this up to compare to the backcountry and wiser precision combo. I prefer the option for a center column but this tripod is fantastically light and simple.

Asking $295 shipped to you.

Specs below
  • Ultralight Performance: Weighs just 20 oz (including the integrated head), saving crucial weight for backcountry hunts.
  • Height Versatility: Offers a max height of 36" and a minimum of 5.5", perfect for seated to prone glassing and shooting.
  • Arca Lever Lock Head: Ensures quick, secure mounting of optics or rifles, with adjustable tension for tailored setups.
  • Simplified Stability: The two-section leg design enhances rigidity while minimizing weight and complexity.
  • Effortless Adjustments: One-finger operation lets you set three different leg angles for stability on uneven terrain.
  • Superior Grip: Oversized rubber feet provide excellent traction on all surfaces and prevent sinking on soft ground.
  • Compact & Packable: Collapses to 22", making it easy to stow in any hunting pack.

Optics TT525 Gen2 XR

Have a tangent theta 5-25 with the gen2 XR reticle. Shows some cosmetic wear from the previous owner, but glass is great.

Price: $3,400 shipped and insured with the rings. Rings were bought second hand and have cosmetic damage. Scope was never dropped and functions perfectly. Just changing my setups to go much lighter and smaller to focus on hunting. Only trades I’d be interested in would be NXS 2.5-10 or Swarovski 8x NL pures.

Rifle Scopes Meopta 2025. Big things comeing

With the New production, research and development Facility being built I am eager to see what shot show 2025 has in store. Of course the Meostar R series was released last year but I'm still not seeing it for sale on this side of the pond. Would love to have the 4-24x56imm personally.
Also have noticed a huge new line of optics called the Meoforce DF series for tactical/military application including three prism scopes, red dots, and five scopes that i can't even find pricing for. Visually the look like revamped meostar ZD and TAC scopes of which I own a ZD 4-16x44imm which is an INCREDIBLE optics for $1500 retail. Personally did not pay close to that haha. In the force DF line is a 5-30x56imm that is 100% new in terms of Specs and Visuals, being their most powerfull and heavy
Scope to date. Looks veeery appetizing.

If anyone has more "in the know" information i would love to hear about it.

make me a pro shooter, help needed lol

landed in the point of my life where i can invest "somewhat heavily" both time & money into pursuing a passion
i want to push into the ranks of PRS/NRL22 as a top contender, gotta register for both obviously

shooting background: USMC STA plt '02-'06, PRS/NRL22 19-now, prs centerfire 22/23 so shooting fundamentals and positions aren't new to me tho execution of such...well...
I now have access to a "local" range (1hr away) but can only shoot steel twice a month (scheduled practice/match days), i was asked to be a match director for this clubs up and coming rimfire PRS style shooting. so i have access to the range whenever and the Cof i can create, as well as use entry fee money from matches to re-invest into the club for props/targets.
i use my favorite range (3 hours away) about once a month/every other month (gunline shooting- MS) great place. they have steel and amazing people!

my current setup
vudoo gen2 24" MTU
McMillian A4 stock (clone-ish of my service rifle)
Harris bipod *swivel w/ pod-lock
9mm local made suppressor (looks mostly i have a .22 can as well but the 9mm one just looks right)
gen3 razor mil/mil

i was running a foundation genesis but felt that it was to thick for me around the grip and fore end. and also was having issues with mindset (centerfire matches mostly), hince why i went to the McMillian. if every target was a bad guy it seemed to make sense in my head. However as i make this transition of time/money investment into practice and practical application of rising in the sport i feel that some of my kit needs to be refined, with .22 i don't feel the i'm that far off with mindset hurdles that happens with centerfire dunno why (TBI/ PTSD its something real that happens and don't understand it) i'm looking for help.

bought dryfire lens and the screen (yes a dot on the wall would have worked) so starting to implement that daily into my routine, normal live fire shooting schedule is 2nd Sat/month is open practice steel targets as far out as i want to go, 4th Sun/month Local match (mostly NRL22 CoF plus whatever i want to add, glory of being a MD i guess) and any other matches from neighboring clubs within about a 4 hour radius currently (south Louisiana)

it may be as simple as balancing my rig and putting an arca rail on it. tho might need to ditch it all and start over with full customizable chassis/barrel length the whole 9 yards.

things i feel should look into:
*suppressor vs tuner vs slick
*ammo - run CX and SK rifle match ( lot testing or off the shelf - see above tuner?)
*barrel length (seen the YT video cutting down a 4ft .22 barrel)
*chassis/stock options
*professional coaching

In a true assessment of my shooting skills (.22 only - i shit the bed centerfire) i would put myself mid/upper mid. lots of top 10, few smaller matches 1st place and a handful of 2nd/3rds. Strong base but tons of room to improve

I'm sure this is gonna get flames and all that normal internet crap but at the same time posting this in a way starts my accountability on this journey.
Are you a higher tier shooter / shooting coach / shooting industry personality ? would love to hear from you and maybe steal some of your knowledge post here or feel free to DM me.
Stupid comments need not apply
Thanks,
Cody

*i will use this page also as a blog of types, updates, triumphs and challenges that i encounter along the way*

Firearms Tac Ops Tango 51 and Staccato XC

Trying to get rid of the Tac Ops as a set Tango 51.... I purchased it from here a few years ago, the previous owner said he fired 2 rounds. I have fired 587 rounds out of it with 360 shot at the K&M Precision LE sniper school in 2023. I have not shot it since and its just been in the safe. Included all together: Kestrel with Applied Ballistics (data from the sniper school), leupold range finder, MDT send it level, Atlas Bipod with rail and adapter for bipod, Magneto speed V3 chronograph, thread pitch adapter for 5/8x24, Data book, Tac Ops drag bag that has never been used. Its topped with a S&B PM2 5-25 mil dot reticle. Will ship rifle, kestrel, and rangefinder in the pelican case from tac ops from my ffl to your ffl, I will send the bag and all other items to your house. $8000 shipped. If anyone wants to meet face to face I have about 150 rounds of federal gold medal match 168 that I can toss in. Located in Alabaster Alabama.

Staccato XC fired approximately 400 rounds. It has a 507 comp ronin, 3 20 round magazines, 3 17 round magazines, and a Trex arms holster (before the company turned to trash). Wanted to shoot pistol competitions but have no time with the wife and kids. $4500 shipped from my ffl to yours.
