I got my Ruger American 6mm creed cut to 16.5 and it’s now keyholing at 50 yards and all over the damn place at 100 yards if it his paper. With the suppressor, no suppressor, hornady black and precision hunter all had issues. It’s in a mdt chassis. Could the chassis cause it, maybe I didn’t tighten down the bolts enough? bad cut and thread job? I believe the Americans are 1 7:5 twist

Currently shooting a NF 4-16 on an M1A and starting to have trouble seeing holes on white paper at 600 yards depending on the light situation. Was just going to upgrade to a NF 5-25, however I keep hearing how optically inferior it is compared to other ATACR's.

So is the extra magnification going to outweigh what it lacks in optical performance or should I be looking at the 4-20 instead?

Please don't recommend another scope, I need capped windage turrets due to the way the rifle ejects the brass off the LRB mount and dings the turret, and I don't want the size of the 7-35 on this rifle, nor does it ever get shot past 1K.

Been trying to find a specific lot for way too long with no luck.

The M14 is an old dog but it has the benefit of having decades of accuracy enhancements implemented by military match armorers and sniper/DMR programs that were dedicated to turning a 5 MOA battle rifle into a sniper, DMR and competition rifle. The average match M14 built with premium components and built by a reputable builder should shoot 1 MOA give or take .25 MOA. This could be a traditional M14 with a heavy or medium barrel bedded into a heavy fiberglass or wood stock, or a rifle dropped into one of the modern chassis systems, like the JAE or the SAGE.

There's no argument that bolt action and traditional AR rifles using a DI gas system can be made to shoot more accurately and more consistently. This challenge is not aimed at those rifles.

The challenge:
Shoot a minimum of five 5-shot groups at a minimum distance of 100 yards with a non-DI rifle system. If you choose to do 10-shot groups or shoot farther (which I encourage), please do so. Groups may be shot off a bench or prone, off a bipod, or sandbags. I encourage shooting off a sturdy bench (preferably made of cinder blocks with a cement top) and with a large sand bag, like the Caldwell Tack Driver bag. You may use factory ammo or tailored handloads. Any power scope of choice is allowed. You may shoot with iron sights as well, if you dare!

What to include:
-Pictures of the rifle, range, bench, groups with date. Specify distance (100 yards, 600 yards, etc...)
-Rifle specs to include any special enhancements, like upgraded barrel, trigger, modified gas system, chassis system etc... (brag about your rifle!)
-Specify method of measuring. I personally use digital calipers and open them up to the bullet diameter (0.308") and then hit ZERO. I then measure the extreme spread and that gives me the center to center spread. If you choose to use a digital measuring device, please do so and let us know what app it is so we can use it too!
-Electronic scoring or marking systems that display the distance and group size is allowed as well.

The challenge is open to the following rifles: Any semi-auto military style rifle that is driven by a piston of some sort and chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, 308, 260 Remington, or even 30-06 (just to allow the Garand guys to play, if they so desire). HK91's are included in this challenge even though they are roller-delayed blowback rifles. Any barrel length is allowed.

I'm going to shoot my first ELR match in January. I bought a used desert tech 40Moa scope mount and have 7x35 atacr scope. From my research the barrett mrad has a 20moa picatinny mount. Since my scope has roughly 120moa of travel I was thinking with my 20moa Pic rail and 40 moa scope mount I would be able to get my full 120moa elevation out of my scope. After I put it all together I still have a lot of negative scope travel. Like maybe my rail is actually zero moa. The scope mount has 40moa printed on the side so I don't think it's that. Could it be somehow related to the zero stop on my nightforce 7x35 atacr. I will need my full 120 moa of elevation for this match.

I am selling a Vortex Gen3 Razor 6-36x56 with mil ebr-7d reticle that is like new with Spuhr mount SP-4002 (0MIL/0MOA). It will come with the Vortex scope box. Im not looking for trades really.

Putting this back up for sale. I got some more ammo since I sold my stash before selling the rifle and had talked myself into keeping it, but I just have no use for it.

It’s got 90 rounds through it now. I just bought 100 rounds of the new Federal 175gr Tipped Fusion and shot a box at the range to test it out. The largest group it shot was the first on the clean cold bore and measured .607” for 3 shots. The rest of them were sub 1/2moa by a large margin with the smallest being a .093” group. I’m attaching a pic of that group, it’s the target on the left, the other was a group from my savage UL 308.

Included with the sale is a Hawkins 7mm Tank Brake ST, an extra Seekins CF mag, and Seekins picatinny bipod section. I will also include the remaining 80rd of ammo for an additional $200 plus shipping costs.
