Wanting to do just a straight neck down to 6.5, no other altering of the case. Think 3100-3200 from a 22" barrel with 147's or 156's is doable. Light barrel (CF) and stock, 10 LBS all up except bipod. Ideally a hunting rifle, but will kill alot more steel than anything. Want to use standard length magnum ACIS mags. Would like to hear opinions on actions (want to stick with a 700 footprint), going to stay with steel and light weight stocks.

If someone has already done this I'd like to hear the pro's and con's.

I just shot in my first ELR competition and managed to hit 5 out of the 6 targets. Furthest was 1896 yards. I was using factory Hornady ELD Match 285 gr. I'm wanting to get started into reloading so I can get more consistent muzzle velocities. Can someone please provide me a list of all the equipment I will need. I also have a rifle chambered in 375 cheytac ordered so if possible I would like equipment that can be used for both calibers.

Was cleaning out boxes of random crap and found all of this. A while ago a machine shop on here helped work with me to manufacture some throw levers for the Gen 1 C35, they worked great. Here are the last ones. I have enough for two complete throw levers and a couple rings to go around the objective (guess you could make your own little levers if you wanted). I'm not really interested in splitting it up as I'm super busy so $150 gets you everything in the photos. I'll pay shipping CONUS.

I recently attended a match where a portion of the stage involved shooting from the rear door of a helicopter fuselage using a sling for support. Essentially a piece of 1” webbing strung across the top of 5’ wide open door. I rested the back of my hand supporting the muzzle on the sling, barely on one knee with rifle shouldered and leaned into it a bit. Got it done, but that shit wasn’t ez. I struggled to hit my 300 yd targets as the front of the rifle rocked back and forth. It was hard enough doing this on stable ground, I couldn’t imagine being airborne. I was told this is a common shooting position when shooting from a helicopter so there must be some kind of special technique. Anyone got some tips on stabilizing the rifle in this position? Thanks.

For aesthetic purposes I prefer the short forend bridge and was intending to use that with my Thermal; however, AI made the short forend bridge with only 8 key slot holes and the 20 MOA accessory rail which co-aligns with the 20 moa picatinny action rail needs 9 slots??? Why on earth didn't AI make the short forend bridge with 9 keys??? My options are to use it anyway and only have two bolt lockup and slight overhang or use a non-standard rail that is not 20 moa... what would you do?

Below is the image showing the slight overhang of the accessory rail over the back of the bridge, I could have a 'smith drill and thread a hole in the back of the bridge but should I really be doing that?

I am running a CTR on my “SPR-ish” rifle. I don’t love all the slop and I have tried a lot of the old tricks to get it out. I saw the new Magpul DT-PR stock and I am thinking about just dealing it out. Supposedly the new design locks up tighter than the old ones. DT = dual tension.
