Advice on setup/Bolt

Hi all, looking for some advice from those more experienced in long-range shooting and to an extent hunting as well. I recently built an Aero Precision M5E1 20" 6.5CM (price of build ~$2000, putting pricing for context later) in FDE that I've function checked but have not taken out to fully test. I also recently purchased a SCAR 20S in 6.5CM (also a 20" barrel) at a really stellar price of $2850 and no sales tax. I'm really looking to have two long range options, with one being a bolt, so selling one of the above gas rifles. The bolt would ideally be good to 800-1000yds and also be good for hunting, so I was thinking maybe also 6.5CM but not sure.

Question as I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to long-distance shooting: if you were me, would you sell the Aero at a loss (maybe get $1400 for it) or the SCAR at a profit (probably could sell at $3500), and keep the other, and what would you recommend for bolt rifle? I'm familiar with Tikka, and I'd like to have just 1 bolt and 1 gas that can go long distance. I'm also familiar with 30 06 as a rifle round and certainly .308, but not as familiar with other hunting rounds. For brands I'm familiar with, they include Bergara, Savage and Remington, amongst others and Tikka. Probably looking in the $1k-$2k price range, really just want good value for the money (price obviously not inclusive of glass). All advice welcome and appreciated, thank you.

Ammo Inc. sells manufacturing assets to Olin Winchester

Interesting find this morning. What are anyone’s thoughts? I know the sheer amount of consolidation across the industry into a handful of companies and/or conglomerates has strong opinions associated with it. I’ve never bought Ammo Inc’s ammo but I will say that I never buy any of Winchester’s ammo that’s for sure….

That’s a .pdf below too so you’re aware.

PRS scope option

Due to a few really good deals i am deciding between two options for optics and looking for opinions, thanks for any help.
option 1 -- Leupold mark 4 3.5-18 pr2 reticle
option 2 -- Leupold mark 4 6-24 pr3 reticle

My few thoughts are i prefer the pr3 reticle and I have a small concern on the 6 power on the low end.
I cant get the pr3 in the 3.5-18 as far as I see

Mounting on gas AR in 223 wylde
Thanks again

Im new to forums, but not to firearms.

Hello. I have only been here to search for technical info I have needed in the past on a few occasions. Im an all around marksman and hunter of birds, small and large game. Can use all types firearms proficiently except automatics. I shoot off hand .22lr metallic silloughete and have been 1st at my local gun club of 2000 members two years straight. My thing at the moment is rim and centerfire bolt action rifles and optics. Have bought and sold more than 50 mid to high level optics so I know my scopes. Glad to be here.

SOLD Mpa vanquish chassis never used

I am pretty sure this is for a r700/clone. It is a short action and right hand.
Comes with the NV bridge out front and that’s it. If it’s not in the pic it’s not included this is all I have for it.
$1175 shipped and insured
Only payment options are Zelle cash app usps mo cert check Apple Pay
If you need me to take measurements to verify it’s a r700 let me know and I can do that. It’s never had anything inside of it and is brand new

Fatboy Invert60 question

Will the Fatboy Invert 60 mount up to a Slik CF 834 tripod or does it only mount on Fatboy tripods?

Ive been trying to decide between the Invert and an Anvil 30.

The anvil will work with a standard 3/8 mounting stud and the size of the head's foot (base) appears smaller.

My 10 y/o will be using it mostly for coyote and deer hunting. I like the friction control knob on the head And the cost compared to the Anvil.
