Accessories Brand new boots - Danner Mountain Light 11.5 (46) - SOLD, La Sportiva Glacier WLF 11.5 (45) - $140 OBO

Danner Mountain Light 11.5 (46) - sold

La Sportiva Glacier WLF 11.5 (45) -$140 shipped OBO

Both pairs of boots are brand new, both are 11.5 D, but the Danners are on the large side of 11.5 (they fit me and I normally wear 12, whereas the La Sportiva 11.5’s don’t fit me at all).

Both are great boots, I have the La Sportiva Glaciers in size 12 and love ‘em. And the Danners will last you forever, you can have them resoled and use them for the rest of your life.

Hit me up with any questions, open to trades and offers.

Muzzle brake question

Hey guys. I’m building a 7prc. First time building a custom bolt action rifle and first time posting here on snipers hide. Hoping someone can help with a question. I am looking at area 419 muzzle brakes to put on my proof barrel. Area 419 doesn’t make a specific 7mm prc brake, but they are telling me that the 30 cal will fit it and not make any issues with accuracy. Does anyone have experience with this? Or any recommendations to another company that make 7prc specific muzzle brakes?

This will be an elk hunting rifle, but I also do a lot of target shooting at the range. I’ll be shooting it 1000+ yards on the range so I want don’t want to sacrifice accuracy by getting the wrong muzzle brake.

Looking at the Leupold Mk5

I'm looking at the Mk5 either 5-25 or 7-35 since you can find either of them for sub $2k online which Scheels will price match. It seems like their quality isn't quite as unanimous as the Razor G3, but that mostly seems related to price to performance (I think that's the best way to put it?). But if you're paying several hundred less for the Mk5 new compared to the Razor Gen 3 used, is it still "worth it"?

I know Leupold has a ton of users and fans like Vortex in PRS/NRL, but I see the being bought and sold much more frequently than the Razor. I guess I'm just struggling to figure out at what point is it work it versus just stepping up to a Razor.

Accessories 6.5 PRC MOS-TEK Pre-fit Carbon Fiber Barrel for Seekins Havak, Havak HIT, and the new Havak M3

Up for sale is a brand new custom pre-fit for the Seekins Havak, Havak HIT, and Havak M3 actions. I confirmed with Seekins this barrel will work on all 3 actions. It was manufactured by Mos-Tek Barrels in Arizona. The machine work, fit and finish is phenomenal. If I hadn’t sold my HIT, this would not be up for sale. If I find a Havak Action before this sells, I may keep it. Details of the barrel are as follows. New and unfired and in factory packaging. Only opened to take photos. Lead time on this barrel was, I ordered it in May of 24 and received it yesterday, so here’s a chance to get one of these fantastic barrels without the wait. I’m into it for $1,200.00, I’ll take $1,000 shipped. Barrel is perfect for a lightweight shorty hunting build. I would imagine velocity with factory ammo will match what a 24-26” 6.5 creedmoor can do.

18.5” Length,
416SS Button Rifled Blank (Mos-Tek doesn’t disclose their supplier),
6.5 PRC Chamber,
1:7 Twist,
Carbon Fiber Wrapped,
Cryogenic Treated,
FDE Cerakote,
Modified M24 Profile 1.2” shank diameter, 1” muzzle diameter,
11/16-24 muzzle thread,
Weight is 2lb 6oz.

Rifle Scopes Hunting Scope suggestions

Hello all,

I’m in the market for a new hunting scope for my longer range hunting rifle. Let me know what you guys would suggest for my use case and requirements.

Range: up to 600 yards on game. Occasional training out to 1000 on paper/steel to stay fresh. No competition use.
Reticle: prefer FFP but it MUST be useable on the low end. I prefer it to be useable without illumination if such a reticle exists. SFP would also be ok too as long as the reticle is not too large.
Turrets: prefer exposed elevation with a lock or higher quality ones that won’t turn if bumped. Prefer capped windage.
Magnification: no higher than 5x on the low end, but would prefer to be at 3 or 4.
Weight: weight isn’t a huge factor. Don’t plan on doing any serious mountain or sheep hunting with this, but if I had to put a number on it I would say below 32oz is preferred.
Price: trying to stay under $2000 for this one. Used is fine as well. Can stretch the budget a bit if the Goldilocks scope is a little more expensive.

Priority list:
1. Durability
2. Tracking/RTZ
3. Low light performance
4. Glass clarity/IQ
5. Useable reticle
