Optics WTS- Trijicon 4.5-30 FFP Mil

Recently received this scope brand new. Mounted, shot 6 rounds and realized I’m probably not going to use it and my brakes and shocks are smoked on my truck.

The glass is phenomenal. Pass it on to someone who will appreciate it. Currently in some Hawkins 34mm rings(lights, 1.27” H) which are included. Come with original everything, tenebrex and sunshade. Will update pics tomorrow.

$1500 shipped via Venmo or Zelle.

Apparent over pressure from mild load

G'day all

Im scratching my head on this one. Need some assistance.

Running a 6.5 PRC
28" Custom barrel SAAMI Chamber (.533 web)
on tikka t3 action.

153.5 Berger Hybrid Target
ADI 2217 (H1000) at 50.5grn (4.5grn below book max)
Surplus Indian Army LRP
Norma Brass trimmed to 2.015"
Loaded neck OD = .2935
Shoulder bumped back 0.002" after full length resize using SAC bushing die and mandrel
COAL 3.05"
Approx 25 thou jump to lands
Case capacity measured to 70.5grn h20

Velocity measured to 2915fps via Xero chrono which is super fast at this charge weight according to the book...
Using GRT this load is showing a pretty mild pressure curve...and certainly well below max

But, I have been getting excessive pressure signs; from the minimum charge upto 52.5grn
Heavy bolt lift/clickers
Cratered primers
Blown primer x2 once with a stuck case and torn rim from extractor claw
Ejector swipes
Primer pockets lose/unuseable after 2 firings on some pieces of brass.

Before you crucify me for running over pressure I have tried 2 different bullets and 2 different powders starting low and working higher. All showing signs of OP. 50.5grn has been fairly stable except for the clickers.

Really the only other variable to change is the brass (I've heard Norma can be very hit/miss on its QC and often produces soft brass) and I am heavily leaning towards this as the problem I am facing and wondering if anyone else thinks could be the issue...
However it dosnt explain the vast increase in velocity I am recording compared to what the book is saying...

Any insight on wtf is going wrong with this would be helpful. I have thought of everything I know and will be first to admit I don't know everything.

SOLD Vudoo V-22 Gen 2 20” Ace MTU Foundation

Recently re-acquired this rifle back after selling to my buddy as a back up for his Gen 1. Likely has less than 3k rounds since I didn’t shoot it a whole lot, and neither did he. 20” MTU Ace barrel threaded 1/2x28 with thread protector, 90° action, will come with a Bix n Andy Tacsport single stage trigger.

Foundation Centurion purchased from a user here. Fits both Rim X and Vudoo as confirmed by Foundation. It is the light fill. Has some silicone residue in the holes in the forend as the previous owner had weights in them. Hawkins M5 DBM with the long latch installed for feeding. Full length aluminum arca rail. 12rd aluminum magazine.

Prefer to sell as package but if I have a buyer for the barreled action and the stock, will part out that way too.

Whole rifle minus optic rings and suppressor: 2400 shipped

Barreled action with magazine and trigger: 1500 shipped

Foundation with bottom metal and arca rail: 950 shipped.

If you are interested in the whole rifle with the K318i, I can cut a deal on that too.

Open to offers.

Sniper's Hide 50yd Challenge Rimfire Edition 🎯

I started a new SH 100yd challenge thread HERE and was asked about a 50yd rimfire version. Idk what I'm doing but here is the target I was able to make. If you print at 100% scale the final row should print 1" diameter circles and make it a little easier to score.

Rules:

1. All Targets will be shot from a Bipod & Rear Bag

2. Enter as many times as you like

3. Post your target, scored version please.

4. ColdBore means - Your first shot of the day, no exceptions.

5. Target will be shot at 50 yards or 50 meters depending on your range.

6. Lowest score wins

7. Include a Quarter with the image of you absolutely can’t score your own target and someone will likely help you.

8. Bullet just has to break the line to be counted as in the circle

Order of Shots

1. Cold Bore Shot; +1 on first target
•2 Shots touching center dot, 0 points,
•2 shots on target 1 point
•1 shot on target 2 point
•miss the circle with both shots 3 points

2. Zero Target to fine tune your group.
•5 shots at this target IF you need it. NOT PART OF THE FINAL SCORE.

3. 1st Dot Target - Single Shot
•Eliminate white dot 0 points
•Touching Black +1 point
•Miss Black +2 points

4. 2nd Dot Target - Single Shot
•Eliminate white dot 0 points
•Touching Black +1 point
•Miss Black +2 point

5. 3rd Dot Target - Single Shot
•Eliminate white dot 0 points
•Touching Black +1 point
•Miss Black +2 point

6. Three Remaining Targets - 5 Shots EA
•Measure group size, add to score
•Groups outside the circle add 1 point to group average (example, .5MOA group outside the circle = 1.5)
•All bullets just have to break the line to be considered "In"

Berger 153.5’s

I got some Berger 153.5 in the other day to try out in my 6.5x284 shehane bench rifle. Figured it would be a good candidate with that BC behind that cartridge. Just did a ladder charge 3 shot groups at 100yds to check my speeds with V555. Seated it .010 off the lans and I was surprised. Next step is to check groups at 300-400yds but has anyone else experienced this bullet to be that forgiving? Didn’t matter what charge I had behind it. It just shot.

Reloading for shorter barrels?

Never really messed with shorter barrels before but starting to. (16" 6.5cm)

Initially not impressed with accuracy using ammo I loaded for my 26" 6.5CM.

I know it will be was down on Velocity (getting about 2550 instead of the 2800+ I was getting).

I got wondering about how much velocity you really need to stabilize 123gr and 140 gr.
I know I won't be able to get the velocities I achieved before without being way over pressure.

Curious how diff people's loads are for shorter barrels vs longer and effect on accuracy?
