Driving home today at 65 MPH , oncoming traffic going a similar speed . This 3/16" thick piece of mobile home art fell out of a pickup, bounced once and entered my personal space. Luckily most of its energy was absorbed by the windshield and passenger A pillar . If I had been a split second earlier it would have came through the drivers side and I'd have been decapitated. Luckily it only bounced off the passenger A pillar and hit me in the waist . I'm hurt , but not injured.

Hug your kids , wife, grandma , whatever you gotta do . I almost cashed in my chips today.

Shit happens in an instant. See my post from last Sunday.
So glad you are okay! Damn what a week.

That will buff right out. Put a sticker over the crack and it won’t spread. They’ll fix the hole with epoxy and you’ll never see the 12” hole again.

    That’s what she said......

Glad you're ok. Crazy shit happens every day.

I do those things everyday. I talk to my parents and in-laws weekly and tell them too.

Our other guys on here who do my kinda work (trauma center) know how many folks this happens to with the alternative outcome on any given day.

We never know how it will fall. I truly work to live everyday as my last. I get pissed and have bad days. And I do what i can to make those days rare.
I was supposed to die at 9 months old. So any day I have is a major bonus. Even with all the terrible things happening around us, life is pretty darn awesome!

Damn! That was close. How long did it take to get the ass-pucker marks out of the seat.
Seriously though, glad you are ok.

About six months ago, my daughter’s best friend and her mom was driving down the interstate. Somebody earlier had dropped one of those plastic folding table in the highway. The car or truck, not sure, in front of these ladies, ran over this table causing it to lift up and take flight...right into their windshield. It didn’t come through, but it caved it in real well. If it had come through, it probably would have killed them both. Like a couple of you guys said, you just never know.

Not sure why our parents told us to put on clean underwear, in case we got into an accident. They’d be clear right up until the accident took place. ?

one of them there angles on your shoulder , glad it was not worse now play the lottery , lol

Wow...glad you survived that one. Thanks for sharing the story and pix.

I had one of those. Headed south on the NJ Turnpike at about 75-80 mph in heavy weekend traffic. A station wagon blows by, the top strapped down with beach gear. As he swings in front of me all the beach gear comes off the roof directly in front of the car...umbrellas popping open, coolers full of beer and soda bouncing. Ill hand it to the Mercedes I was driving, I stood it on its nose and even then it steered like a cutting pony and missed everything. Had to pull over for a few minutes and just breathe.

That is a nice piece of art...kind of matches your tats. Insurance will pay for the damage and you get free art...win/win. :p

    WOW

F'd up but glad you made it through...I believe that when it is your time, it is your time.

    It wasn't your time...thankfully

    Just looked at this again.

    Dang.

And yes, love those close to you and tell them. Regularly.

If you dont have a blow out IFAK, get one in your rig. This is the kinda daily random crap that happens and IFAK can save your life.

Seen more than 1-2 lives saved (personal experience, not stuff I read) from a tourniquet and a few it would have saved.....

Damn horses are dangerous, especially oddly shaped metal ones!

Glad it wasn't any worse than it was. Outside of your personal wellbeing, hopefully they can repair that A-pillar. Windshield seal might have a time sealing as-is, hehe.

Could you mail me my shrapnel back? I would hate to have to make another, and crazy glue it to my gipsy wagon..... :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

Just heard a presentation at my trauma conference today from a mom who agreed to donate her daughters organs after her daughter was declared brain dead. Drunk driver car crash.

Damn. My shirt is wet from the tears listening to her.
