    Put in a different thread....

Not gloating (but very happy), LGS called to say my tax stamp arrived. I said, "cool, this is the 5.56 suppressor I filed in June last year, didn't think I'd have it so soon'. They said, "no, it's the for the .45'.

I filed only bought the pistol suppressor in November, while the other I bought in June.

So are thing improving for wait times? Am I missing a trick? Did I get lucky? Of course, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. If things are starting to improve, though, time to order a TBAC Ultra!

Received mine with trust, in 3 months also. I was shocked myself. Considering the one I got before took a year. Ck cashed 11/8/19 -2/19/20. Already got my other one in jail. Hopefully this one goes the same route.

Check cashed early August, received end of October. LGS guy said he was getting most of the applications back in the same time frame.

Man that is awesome! I was 7 months for individual a couple of years ago, but 3 months on trusts wowsers. Going to spread the word good for you guys.

There are some shorter anomalies coming in, but more of them. Congrats on it. I have two in jail that are at 6 months and 4 months. Current average has dropped just under 10 months.

I've been in NFA jail with two cans for 7 months. Considering a trust once they arrive ... for future suppressor buys. Seems consistent that trust cans are approved faster. One question ... has anybody seen this 3-month-ish turnaround time for cans "added" to an existing trust, or is it just for initial purchases into a new trust?

I’m at 7 months with a trust... and a little jealous.

Initial trust created with my FIL and first suppressors took 17months!!! Still waiting on the second round of suppressors to be added to the trust. I think it’s been roughly 6 months on those.

I just got a form 4 individual back in roughly 6 weeks. I have bought 5 cans from the same local dealer over the course of a couple years. Each purchase being about 6 months apart. Can #1 took 9 months to the day, can#2 took 9 months, however can #4 come back the same day as can #2, can#4 only being 3 months, then on Feb 24 I get a call that can#3 and can #5 both come back the same day, can #3 being 8 1/2 months and can #5 only 6 weeks. Funny thing is can #3 was in jail when can #4 leap frogged it. Don't ask me how, cause I don't understand. All form 4 individual.

New trust was 1 year, 1st additional can was 1 year, i was hoping second additional can might be faster, but maybe that’s my lucky number with the atf.

Wonder if they are/were running another pilot program to drive down turnaround time run rate (last in first out vs first in first out) dec-Jan submissions. They ran a similar deal in July and folks were getting form 4’s back in 60 days or so.

Mine is a new trust, new can and I'm a little over a year. And I'm ALOT jealous! I wonder if the examiner can see all the other shit I have in the registry?

Im at 6 months for one and one week for another. Id love to get lucky like some of you guys. Pray im not unlucky like some of you!!!!

This thread gave me some hope maybe the can I had that got cashed at the beginning of Oct and haven't checked in the last few months would have gotten approved. No such luck...

What pisses me off is that you can purchase two cans at the same time, send checks and paperwork off at the same time yet they can’t be approved together, then say you’ve just been approved and buy another one, got to go through the entire damn process again. It’s BS. If you’ve gone through as many checks as I have you should be placed on an approved list and get instant approval. There is zero reason why they can’t do that unless they are that incompetent and I don’t believe they are. They act like this is trying to get approval for nukes or something, it’s not. It’s absolutely ridiculous and is meant as nothing more than a barrier they hope people won’t try to go through, that’s it.

It took 87 days from mailing to can in hand for me.

The story I have read/heard is that the gubmint was using some kind of contractor and it was this contractor who just started at the top of the stack, did everything needed and approvals started flying out the door. The gubmint got wind of this and shut the contractor down and now has resorted to the usual gubmint grabass and has all intention of continuing with the year+ approvals.

That is the story I have heard and I see no reason for the back pedaling at all. Kinda pisses me off a bit.
