Has anyone bought/tried Brownells Howa barreled actions. I just seen Howa 6mm creedmoor barreled actions on sale for $249 at Brownells and wanted to hear what y’all think. I know they’re cheap but maybe with a decent stock it would be something a child could enjoy.

For $250, buy 2. Wish I had some fun money laying around right now and wasn’t trying to build my savings account.
I have a H1500 24” threaded 6CM. I think I paid $429 for the barreled action about a year ago and thought that was a great value. They’re what a Remington 700 should be; Flat bottom receiver, integral recoil lug, external extractor, 3 position safety and I have rarely heard of any QC issues. Throw it into a KRG Bravo and go have some fun.

Sale prices this low seem to be getting rarer and rarer. Brownells use to have sales like these all the time. Great platform for a hunting rifle or to use as a base for a build. Plenty of smiths making Howage style barrels for em.
One of the better value rifles in today's market.
I prefer them to Rem700s

I ordered one just because of the price. Now just to find the stock or chassis I want to use
i bought one as well.... also have a howa walnut hunter in 6.5cm.
I bought it for the action, honestly. Now im trying to figure out how i want to build it. I'm going to get a drop in barrel from preferred, just not 100% on caliber yet.
Also...i have 2 rifles in Bravo chassis (t1x and 5r, gen 2 6.5)....so im thinking about something OTHER than a bravo.

I have a 6.5 barreled action and it’s great, I recently upgraded chassis so I have one lying around and I almost pulled the trigger on the 6mm but then I noticed it didn’t have a threaded barrel.
Long shot - anyone got one of these they want to sell? Maybe the project you bought it for never came to fruition?
I do have one I built last year for sale. Howa 1500 in 6mm Creedmoor on a KRG Bravo. Tack Driver. Only reason I’m selling is that I built a custom. PM me.
