Maggie’s What's Your View II

Spent a few days cruising timber on a local property. Ran into a lot of Blue Cohosh and well 2 hens with

In it's new home. Actually got it running after carb rebuild, oil change and new dist cap/rotor/points/condenser. Water pump is seized so didn't run it long, missing on at least one cylinder and some noise probably from stuck lifters. All in all, not bad for not having not been cranked in probably 40+ years. Hand/voice is my 81yr old neighbor/local old car guru.

Oldsmobile? 40 years? Amazed that the tires still hold up the vehicle they look like original equipment. Nice job getting her running. These are not just oldies, they are history.

Looks like an early to mid 60 Bel Air

1958 Buick Century Estate Wagon - Model 69 (Caballero). All the tires leak, not salvageable short of putting tubes in. Too bad, they're actually Sears tires and were probably almost new when parked. Check out this immaculately restored '58 Caballero.

Missed the title of the video. Knew it wasn’t a Pontiac or a Chevy but could not decided if it was a Buick or Olds. Since I saw no portholes on the front fender, I went the wrong way

Put a little Sea Foam in it and she will clean up fine.

Already had Marvel Mystery Oil in cylinders for a week before turning over and almost a quart through the carb as it was running just before the video (surprised someone didn't call in a fire!). Cooling system is full of crud and remains to be seen if that can be flushed out without having to pull then engine.

Was over at a friends house looking at some wood he had downed and came across this guy.

Beautiful little eastern hognose. It’s only about 12” long. Pretty cool how they can flare out their ribcage to appear bigger. Looks like he has a full belly…..

Inspected the logging job I had done on my property. I sold the White, Virginia, and Pitch pine off of my property not long ago. Its a poor site, so my White and Chestnut oak should have an ok time regenerating in some of the holes made up top. The clearcut down below would be perfect for Oak regen but the seedbank is a bitch... I want oak but I'll probably get White pine back. Might spray some areas with Crossbow to kill off some of the seedbank and replant oak or maybe even Tulip (Yellow Poplar) in the clearing.

Needs more waterbars on the road up to the top of the mountain. Should be great hunting overtime.

Drove up Farmington canyon to Francis peak. The domes are faa and military radars. http://www.fortwiki.com/Francis_Peak_FAA_Radar_Site

Looking down to the valley. My house is somewhere under the blue dot.

8 paragliders took off from there and were headed south. Heading to Draper or all the way down past Nephi if they could make it. One guy said he was wanting to fly for 8 or 9 hours. They took off about noonish. Have more pictures on our nice camera. Cool to see.

Edit:

Looking the other direction. Domes under yellow line.

So yesterday my son got a set of fake legos, today we found out they are the pride month special.

Try explaining knock off crap to a 5 year old. I skipped the male male parts don’t work together and female female doesn’t work either.B9A0BDFB-AC66-4CC9-A788-7D409ECE2B7B.jpeg

Oh man!! You are a blessed fella!

My daughter is 100 lbs and eats like a grown man.
Often has seconds when I do not, and piles of snacks in between.

Recently proudly told my parents “I just ate an entire pizza for supper by myself”.
Took 53 min for her to ask for a snack. 😱

10 yrs ago left the NICU at 4 lbs 3 oz in baggie fitting premie clothes.
The joy of my life for sure. ❤️

Gus was around 2.5 lbs at birth, Hank was about 3.5. Gus actually eats way more than Hank but he's still a little dude. About 6 lbs less than his brother currently.
