I can't speak to the firearms part of the story. No tractor trailer would try to drive on the B/W parkway. It's illegal for them to drive there because of a weight limit. There are sign on every ramp leading to the parkway. There are other parts of the story doesn't make sense either. Jessup is located almost directly next to I95, no need to drive to B/W parkway when 95 is right there.

Pensions are far from guaranteed. Bethlehem Steel in Maryland had thousands of retired employees lose every sent in their pension. My in laws, like most in that timeframe, counted on their pension to help in their golden years. One day they got THE letter and it stated that due to the company going bankrupt, they would no longer be receiving a pension check each month. Just that quick, like turning off a light. GONE!
