My time spent working for the government was about the most frustrating time in my life.
Some people are cut out for it.
Others like me are not.

I couldn't get past the part of it where if you performed better, or worked harder or faster than others - you were penalized. And if you were a slacker and lazy - that's even better. That means they need to hire more employees, and the supervisor is in charge of more people, so we need more management with a bigger budget, bigger building, more office furniture, and now the group is a division instead of a department. Self replicating and expanding bloated organizations that continue to grow - simply because nobody is able to put the brakes on.

And then you get into "mission creep" where the goalposts continue to be moved - and you're gonna need more guys for that. Again.

We NEED government.
But government NEEDS to be controlled by some mechanism.

It was originally controlled by funding.
They've done away with that now that they can just raise taxes, and print money, to make the budget an obscene and unlimited pile of taxpayer's loss of wealth.

I think you are being naive and myopic especially in light of the recent reductions in military and police related to the Covid injections. There are a great many on the gov payroll that are very good people. We agree. These very good people are ignorant to the harm they are causing. For example, many good men enlist in the military with good intentions and end up displacing millions of people resulting in massive suffering and death while their country back at home was in aded by foreigners and marxist took over the country resulting in an unconstitutional federal gov’t that they continue to take orders from. I’m sure a good well intentioned administrative assistant has worked on pushing through paperwork and orders that resulted in the political roundup and apprehension of the hundreds of political prisoners in American prisons. Crime fighting police had good intentions when they were saving the country by arresting and harassing men who refused to wear the mask of submission to the state. I can go on. Many a bad things have happened at the hands of ignorant men with good intentions.

The US military hasn’t fought an enemy of the American homeland or it’s people in the 42 years you were in the service. Do not lie to yourself. While I respect your experience and what combat veterans did for one another while overseas, you were put in that position by evil men in gov’t to no benefit to mainstreet America or it’s constitution. In fact while you were over there unknowingly enriching bankers, politicians, and corporations, the constitution was shit upon and things steadily got worse back at home.
