Man I’m getting old never heard of the “Whootie” either. I grew up listening to country, rock, and even rap but some of this was before my time.
Heck when I retired from hitting the strip clubs no one had ever heard of a twerk but there was a lot of bootie shaking going on.

They were in contact to buy it for half a million dollars. The city/county took it to court to stop it. The judge agreed that the local government should have control of it and the city/county then paid 1.5 million dollars for it. That was ten years ago and it still sits idle because the taxpayers revolted on paying for the system at the price proposed by the government when they found out that it could have been done and only paid for by the community that it was going to serve. The original public group already had enough people signed up to connect to the sewer system that it would have been paid for by now.

My time spent working for the government was about the most frustrating time in my life.
Some people are cut out for it.
Others like me are not.
I couldn't get past the part of it where if you performed better, or worked harder or faster than others - you were penalized. And if you were a slacker and lazy - that's even better. That means they need to hire more employees, and the supervisor is in charge of more people, so we need more management with a bigger budget, bigger building, more office furniture, and now the group is a division instead of a department. Self replicating and expanding bloated organizations that continue to grow - simply because nobody is able to put the brakes on.
And then you get into "mission creep" where the goalposts continue to be moved - and you're gonna need more guys for that. Again.
So everyone at every level of .gov is the problem and should walk off the job knowing they are part of the problem?

I don't. In my other post I talked about .gov and all that has to do. You in the military, you are a .gov employee, that is where your check comes from. Air traffic control, same, police fire water all paid on your taxes.
I am not going to bother to respond to the rest of the people that commented as there is a running theme here and I will leave you with. You can't blame the few, there are a great many of the few that are on the .gov payroll that are very good people. When you look to the "evil" that is generally at the top. "those people" have great control, and power....there is a reason people fear it, a look at past history of a few years will prove those in power are to be feared, the joke that I have no plans on killing myself come to mind.

The US military hasn’t fought an enemy of the American homeland or it’s people in the 42 years you were in the service. Do not lie to yourself.
