He @fpgt72 is saying that because they acted the same way towards a bad guy as they do against anyone. They are not all bad.
They sound like that cop that murdered Daniel Shaver to me. What if they had the wrong guy and smoked him trying to act like Clint Eastwood. Would you say it was an honest mistake? They would not be charged with murder, brandishing, menacing or anything for that matter.
Well, if you are part of the blue you can get special treatment

I bet she resigned because she will keep her retirement if she resigned instead of being fired. She was fired earlier in her career for assault on a police officer during her boyfriend's DUI arrest. Got her job back and became chief.
Did the officer that gave her special privilege get reprimanded? Would he do that for the average couple just driving their golf cart down the road?

Anybody seen this one yet?

Nice to see the perspective from the "wrong" side for once.
Though for what its worth the book "All Quiet on the Western Front" and the original movie were pretty seriously criticized by some other big author-vets of the time from both sides of said Western front eg Herbert Mcbride and Ernst Junger. "Men do not make such cringing dramatic facial expressions in real combat" I believe is Mcbride's quote.
Junger took some similar issue with the work IIRC, calling the experience of trench warfare "transcendent" instead.
-"As the storm raged around us, I walked up and down my sector. The men had fixed bayonets. They stood stony and motionless, rifle in hand, on the front edge of the dip, gazing into the field. Now and then, by the light of a flare, I saw steel helmet by steel helmet, blade by glinting blade, and I was overcome by a feeling of invulnerability. We might be crushed, but surely we could not be conquered."
And Junger was in it for the long haul, 1914-1918, wounded 14x, numerous medals.

But everyone is different, and Remarque seems to be made of more peaceful ingredients than the other two. If only our politicians had such makeup, I believe is the message to take away ?

We had a good little thread on the C&R forum when it came out. My takeaway was, it was a good MOVIE but it was not All Quiet. There was less then zero development of the characters, to the point of who is Paul? Who was the guy in glasses? I had no investment in anything that happened to any of these people....we never knew them.

Another good example, really I think the perfect example is Band of Brothers and Pacific. BOB did so much better because the first several episodes was all character development, we know Winters all the way down to Shifty. All these people we knew at a glance. Pacific there was no build up. No follow them in boot camp no Sobel to hate. Part of this is how the series got made, BOB was really one book, pacific had several books all wadded up together and that was tough (The books by the Pacific authors are all fantastic and I strongly suggest reading them I read all but China Marine. Pacific fell a bit flat because we really did not have the same feeling to the people we watched on screen.

Same with this movie, I just did not care, but the effects, save recoil are pretty good. Opening 10 min is worth a watch at least.

Will you or your department work with the feds in any capacity including the sharing of information? Do you know of any department anywhere that doesn’t or wouldn’t? If the terrorist feds attacked someone in your jurisdiction and this man decides to fight tyranny, which side would you come to aide? I’ve asked this before.

Another would be if given the order to force masks and close business because of a bullshit lie about a virus, would you have like every other cop did that was ordered to or would you be the sole dissenter in the country? There is criminality to the highest degree going on right now and knowing this, do you or officers at your department still threaten the lives of people in your jurisdiction because they don’t rock back at a stop sign?

You tell me. We did get a bit of press for saying no to the feds not long ago.

But don't let simple facts get in your way, you have a good bead on things and know just how they work. You know like how libs know everything about gunz.

You answered absolutely zero questions so I will continue to believe my observations that I know to be true. Wonder why you did that?

It’s strange how you think the gov’t is corrupt like the rest of us believe but also seem to believe that those that protect the ones in charge and force their policies and “laws” onto the rest of us should bear no responsibility.

Because answering them is pointless, I have tried. Start yourself a fake noob account and see if you can sucker me in.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. Yet more handouts for a group that has pissed away close to 80 years worth of free shit and are no better off than they were right after the War of Northern Aggression.

Hmmm,...I wonder why

Twenty-five people have been arrested in raids across Germany on suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government.
The group of far-right and ex-military figures are said to have prepared for a "Day X" to storm the Reichstag parliament building and seize power.
A man named as Heinrich XIII, from an old aristocratic family, is alleged to have been central to their plans.
According to federal prosecutors, he is one of two alleged ringleaders among those arrested across 11 German states.

Hmmm,...I wonder why

One of the providers I work with was so proud he got his daughter the shot. 2 weeks ago I was asking him how things were going and all, just some small conversation while waiting for the last patient to leave for the night, and he mentioned his daughter just got out of the hospital. I asked what happened, he said she had a stroke at the age of 12......

I so wanted to turn the screws but could see he was honestly upset. Hopefully he never forgives himself over this.

@fpgt72
One last question and one I hope you take the time to answer honestly.

Can a nation of tax slaves fight back against a corrupt and murderous gov’t without being in direct conflict with its police?

Edit:
The debate isn’t good cop/bad cop like you devolve the conversation to. The argument is the role and duty that an officer of a corrupt and malicious state. Are they still these romanticized crime fighters protecting the neighborhood from criminals or are they state sponsored thugs using weaponized laws to protect criminals at the top while crushing decent men that want no part living under tyranny?

No it's not. It's ignorance plain and simple. He probably believes everything he sees on TV and everything he's told, just like about half the people.
So are you saying that ignorance cannot lead to child abuse? You are focused on the cause I am looking at the effect.

What freaking court thinks that they have anything to say about what a foreign country does in a third country? These people have lost their friggin minds with importance.
imagine the reaction if it was trump. they would call it an attack on the press and a license to kill journalists.

He was not a citizen but they write it up to imply that he was

No, I don't think it is "Child Abuse" if he thinks he is protecting his child.

If your child got sick and required medicine to get better, but that medicine happened to be a bad batch from the manufacturer, and it ends up hurting your child are you guilty of child abuse?

It isn't always ignorance, nor is ignorance always a valid defense, but in this case, someone's child, I am willing to bet that he was adamant about the vax because he thought he was protecting him, and he bought all the propaganda.

I was thinking the same thing. They've been calling him "a resident" since he got whacked.

One of our supply clerks got caught stealing in Nuremberg Germany when we were there in 2019, not a thing happened to her. No reduction, no loss of pay, whole thing was swept under the carpet. She was a 13%er

Meanwhile I faced huge retaliations when I turned my 1SG in for drug seeking......

Your comparison is not even close and honestly a little ridiculous. In your scenario EVERY batch of medicine was bad because there was no safety data available. If you pump drugs into your kids system and are not smart enough to do your own homework then it is your fault and it is child abuse.

At this point we should agree to disagree because it will get ugly fast.
