I’ll admit that I’ve found holes and divots from impacts from about 30 up until 100 yards at the 100 yard rifle range. It confounds the logic of a normal shooter to see such things.Every indoor range I've ever been to. Avoid ranges at all cost. One locally even has holes in the bench![]()
Then again, the simplest of things like bore sighting a rifle is unknown and confusing to many ‘gun owners’. A guy who shoots an occasional rifle match here asked what I was doing when I had the upper of an AR on bags, zeroing the scope at 100. He had no idea that was possible. This explains all those guys that say they start the zeroing process at 25 yards and work their way out 25 yards at a time, using a box or two of ammo in the process.
