I'm always skeptical of these "party shifters" because if they ran on the "D" ticket (aka MARXIST) they had to know what they were doing. Thus, how the rapid change of heart?

This is how we got the uni-party IMO. Look at former Senator Richard Shelby...and now his lacky Katie (NEITHER ONE of whom are Constitutionally sound - again, IMO). Better than the alternative, sure...but the problem is the primaries where the big out of state money comes in and shifts things to the way they want it...they = NWO.

During WWII, the German government forbade anyone to listen to the BBC. The penalties ranged from a few months imprisonment to death.

On the other hand, Britons were not prohibited from listening to English speaking German broadcasts. These propaganda messages became a source of humor for war weary England.

This was especially true when they listened to Lord Haw Haw (AKA William Joyce). England got the last laugh because he was executed for treason after the war.

I put this out as an example from history to examine and learn from. In a totalitarian society, people are not free to read, listen or watch what they wish. The state or the dictator will tell them what they can read, listen to or watch.

The mark of a free society is one in which citizens are free to read, listen to or watch whatever they want. Of course there are laws against obscenity but when it comes to criticism of other people or the government, that is a mark of freedom.

It's sad to see that we are marching, rather quickly, toward a period when free speech, literature and entertainment is going to be regulated out of existence.

IMHO, leave TikTok alone. That way we can see who the traitors and idiots are among us. Never interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake. This should apply when they are acting stupid on social media.

i think tiktok issues are about tracking and possible private data harvesting more than content.
that said, i was banned from twitter under the leftist regime and i assume we could be a target of this sort of legislation.

Good point. Still I would like to know who the traitors and idiots are by letting them operate in the open.

There's nothing wrong with banning TikTok from government devices. For that matter, private companies can ban TikTok from the devices that they issue to their employees.

It was dark out as I drove home tonight. Dark, and quiet. Too quiet.

The moon hung in the sky like a giant luminescent bowling ball, hanging from some ostensibly invisible, yet incredibly strong cosmic monofilament. It's hazy halo portended precipitation. Suddenly, a deer appeared, then another. We cautiously eyed each other up. I offered the nearer one some beef jerky, the deer seemed... skeptical...

that's what we are looking at now, with byod devices that can have company apps and email, and isolating the data from other apps.
while we can prohibit users from copying data from one app to another, i couldn't say we know for sure what is happening that we cannot see.

Permanent Washington writes the laws.

These are just actor mouthpieces to provide cover.
Just heard my homie RINO Tom Cotton this morning on Fox. He’s a busy man , Way to busy to help me get a Bronze Veterans plaque to put on a stone for a friend that I went to boot camp with that I last saw alive in Da Nang in 72.
He got blown up in a trailer cause of a gas leak that killed 5. The explosion happened the day I got out of the Navy. ☹️ I wrote him a note saying I was home, they found it miles away ….He had an early out hardship discharge to take care of his elder parents.
No one has/had his DD-214 or other paperwork , all his kin are dead. Figured Tom would help. Hell his mom taught us both 😡 So old Tomb Guard Tom won’t help me get his shit , he Damn sure won’t get my votes even if it counted.👎

EDIT: I’ve sent Tom 3 emails in two months….nary a peep

I think by your comment you have not had much dealings with people that are holding onto the rope with just two fingers.

There is no telling what they are going to do, been there seen it.

If you wish to learn about just what people do when they hit rock bottom there are sources. Nothing shocks me anymore.....nothing.
So, no you didn't ask and have no idea. Just making up bullshit. Good thing you red flagged her though, gunzzz are dangerous and I believe in the second amendment, buuuutttttt...

There's one way to mess them up and that's to feed them garbage. I'm not a tech guy but there have got to be some pretty smart people out there that can give the data that will screw them up. Two can play at that game.

The US government is pissed because someone else is working their corner.
Facebook, Twitter, Google and the rest are doing the same thing but tic tok isn't sharing with the FauxBI, CIA, DHS and they want access.
Seems like I remember that the bad orange man wanted to shut this down years ago. I guess it's taken a while to write the legislation that'll backdoor some serious government fuckery
