Was that 19" TV considered to be top of the line or bottom?
Right now at costco they have 48-50" tvs ranging from $1100 down to $240.

I have a pot almost exactly like that in our camping gear. That and our old two burner Coleman stove was a life saver when we had the big freeze here in TX a couple years ago and lost power for six days.

My sister has the one like that we used at her house just like that one. It has been re-covered a few times.
All you have to do is watch any TV episodes from about '94 and back to see how bad the imagery was.

I love the idea of kayaking off the pnw coast, it looks absolutely amazing. But, I also know what kinds of monsters are living and are difficult to see under the water. And again, the idea of kayaking here looks incredible
I remember paying 2100 bucks for a 21" Sony VGA computer monitor. 1024x768 - it was the top of the line in early 90's. Damn thing weighed 50lbs.

But my $$ says that 1983 tv is still working and the new Hisense tv will die in 2 - 3 years (see warranty period)
Haven't bought a new set in over five years so don't know the status of Sony today.
Sony has always given me the best value per dollar.
Gave the kid a Sony when we upgraded. He still uses it in his garage. Probably 15 years old now.
