This definitely sucks. Submarine lost.

So this is what the moron had to say about the view port....
It’s acrylic – plexiglass,' Rush tells Estrada after being asked what the window mounted at the front of the Titan vessel is made of.
'It is seven inches thick and weighs about 80lbs. And when we go to the Titanic, it will squeeze in about three-quarters of an inch and just deforms,' he explains.
'And acrylic is great because before it cracks or fails, it starts to crackle so you get a huge warning if it’s going to fail.'
Bwaaahhhhhaaaaahhhhhhhhh........
"Hey did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"Sounded like a crackling sound....there it is agai.................
"Oh, it is great! I can vouch for that!" Said nobody that ever lived to say that.

He was also touting the fact that the hull was outfitted with strain gauges that would annunciate/alarm when dangerously high levels of deflection were detected, due to the extreme pressures they would be operating in...........

That was also posted here a couple of days ago... As usual SH is way ahead of the curve. And it wasn't strain gauges, it was acoustic sensors that were supposed to hear 'cracking.' And alert them to surface. Ah ha hah haha ha.

The reporter who asked about recovering the bodies should be towed out to sea and thrown overboard tied to a Fiat.

Jesus are these people really this dumb?

So seems they have found landing parts and frame. The 'capsule' is nowhere to be found.

My guess is that it imploded into Carbon Fiber splinters and some cat treats. And those floated away on the currents. It was instant. As Ballard said. There was no 'sitting around waiting to be rescued.' They never knew they died.

Maybe heard some cracking right before the whole world ignited.

Oh well.

I had not heard that the sub made it to the Titanic 20 times, per a post above. I thought it never made it... had several false starts. But I am probably wrong. If it made it 20 times... that certainly would have caused the Carbon Fiber to delaminate and crush. It's not made for that stuff.

Sirhr
it sounds like this sub was only marginally better than Chris Elliott's Neptune 2000. It's probably good for people to have a general idea what they're getting into before they go to the bottom of the ocean.

Ahhh........I now see the error of my ways and instead, the wisdom of using acoustic sensors............

Acoustic Sensors = EARS ? :unsure::eek:

Ah ha ha ha haha hha... Chris Elliott.

That brings back so many great memories of the '80s. Holy fucking fuck... That guy was so pathetic he was hilarious!!!

Well, really good ears. That detect really small crackey sounds. That normal ears can't hear. And turn on a red light or something. As the hull implodes.

Not making that stuff up.

They were supposed to hear the 'early stage' cracking of the carbon fiber in time to surface. Except when the early stage crackling of the failure is only milliseconds ahead of the entire Made-by-Monogram pressure vessel imploding and turning into a sub-surface Ez-Bake oven for about a 10th of a second before scattering as small shards in the current.

Can't make this stuff up.

Good point..

You wanna know what God thinks of money..??
Just look at a lot of the people he gives it to, so to speak..
Soros for a decent example.
He uses gold to pave the streets of Heaven. That's right the paving bricks in Heaven are made with gold.

Reports say the 20 year old tranny working the remote controls was playing BioShock when the accident happened...

In order to prevent this from happening again, and expending government funds, I'm willing to bet that there will be mountains of regulations enacted for future subsurface craft to comply with.

You heard it here first on SH!
In the US Canada, most likely. But what will then happen is that the companies will be registered somewhere like Bermuda, and the ships registered in Panama or some other flag of convenience country. And they will set sail from Bermuda too.

The wreck of the Titanic lies in international waters and outside any economic exclusion zone, so it cannot be policed without massive changes in maritime law. Changes which would allow China and Russia to consolidate many of the territorial claims they have on open water, so that ain't going to happen.

Net effect - no changes. Like gun control really.

The legend lives on thanks to James Cameron
Of the big ship they called the Titanic
The ship, it is said, lying on the sea bed
Attracts rich folks who’ve gone slightly manic
With a load of hardware from the local junk yard
An ivy leaguer set out to explore her
He came up with a plan and built a cheap-ass tin can
With a joy stick that was kind of squirrely

The can was a joke as it was built by some wokes
But they headed out for the Mid-Ocean
As the DSV’s go it was lamer than most
With a crew and good captain of retards
Concluding some terms for some quick quarter mils
They pushed off for the central Atlantic
And later that week when they looked towards the deep
Could it be a beer can they were sailing?

The clicking torque wrench made a tattle-tale sound
And the hatch fitted down like a jar lid
And no one really knew except the captain or two
That the crew sphere was made out of Bondo
The Ship started down and they started to grin
When the dreams of Titanic came on them

But five thousand feet down smiles turned into frowns
As the acoustical sensor began crackling
At 6 thousand feet the young wokies radio’d in
And said “Fellas you’re almost half way there”
At 7K feet the cheap window caved in
And ignited the crew like Napalm
The capsule went boom and the crew went "Oh s..."
Getting crushed to the size of a crayon.
And later that day when the comms went astray
Came the wreck of the Beer Can Explorers

Does any one know where the passengers go
When the pressure turns them into mere Twinkies?
The searchers all knew that there was no captain or crew
But the distraction was too good to pass up.
They might been breathing or they might have been mush
They may have floated up to the smooth surface
But the fact that remains and the whole event screams
Of a way to protect Hunter Biden

The Med has its shoals and the Atlantic has Bergs
and they swallow up ships like they're snack food
The Pacific has waves that are big as a mount
Its bottom is littered with iron
The South China Sea even seems kind of calm
Until you crash your airline down upon it.
But the ships that go cross and the mariners who are boss
Know you don’t go deep diving with Morons!

In the crusty old site called the Bear Pit they laughed
and made memes and brought up lordship Darwin
The Glowies chimed in yet the whole thing has been
About trannies with blue hair and nose rings
The legend lives on from the Bear Pit on down
Of the the junk that was not made in China
Titanic, they said, now has a bunch more rich dead
As the 50-somethings retired too early!

Eat your heart out Gordon Lightfoot.

Now would one of you guys who knows how to play guitar please put that on CD so I can start collecting my songwriter royalties?

If that's a modern Canadian, I say we load up the truck and go conquer Canada.
You will 100% be unencumbered. Lots of hard wood, wild game, and fresh water. These soybois can’t fight.

I wonder if they tried to surface, it failed and they slowly sank until POOF.
The one eye congressman stated that they had the assets to deploy on Monday and they denied the request.Granted the request on Tuesday then denied again.Tapping noise that they were hearing was consistent with SOS every 30 minutes on Wednesday. They knew the location of the sub early on.
