Safari locks up several times each day. Standby feature works when it wants. Cannot pair both hearing aids and hearing protection. Sometimes one hearing aid connects and the other doesn’t (no problems on android). Last week got an email my apple account had been deactivated. No reason given. Contacted support, but they had no info. Submitted a request to turn back on provided account wasn’t compromised. It miraculously reactivated the next day. Random glitches that randomly pop up, but disappear almost immediately.

I had Galaxies for 10 years. This is the most problematic phone I’ve even owned.

Funny thing is I bought an iPad at the same time. Can’t say enough good things about it.
Sounds like it is messed up/not right.

Sorry man, I have had nothing but fantastic service from iPhones.

IOS 17.2just dropped. Hoping that will clear up a few things. There are lots of things I like.
They may have finally solved the wireless CarPlay GPS issue. Probably not, but it looked promising on the way home today.

It looks like a Stewart and Stevenson FMTV painted white with a de-chassis'd camper bolted to the back.

Redneck shit right there. I love it!

I thought the same til you look at one.

All FMTV pics that I have seen, 4x4 or 6x6, have that box between the tires. Don't know what is in it but I don't think they would take it off and put a gas tank there.

Edit: Found it. Built off of a Mitsubishi fuso/ canter.

Earth Roamers are made in Bend. Could be one of the early gen. They are pretty cool but not affordable.

No, they're not. They are made in Dacono, CO. About two miles from Mile High Shooting Accessories. My buddy works for them and my wife used to work for Diversified Body & Paint who did all the repaints on the used ones before they were re-sold.

Edit: And that's not an ER.
EarthCruiser is out of Bend. Names are close.

A 40+ year old and still going Frazier Johnson. Going to adapt another brand defrost control for this old timer to get a few more years of service out of it.

Landlord says, "Nothing but the best for my renters!" Notice , no rock. I wonder what Cooper thinks about that.

Doesn’t anyone out there have a fin comb?

On those old units I have found that it's best to leave the sleeping dog alone. The old aluminum doesn't like to be disturbed. I've had it crumble, tear off and/or it won't straighten enough to spend the time on. Probably all the acid rain and climate change hasn't been kind to bare aluminum over 45 years. 😁

He was treated with Laetrile in Mexico. Quackery at its finest......

As a young teen I remember folks saying it was outlawed in the US to help big Pharma corner the cancer market. Several folks we knew tried it and died. We lived in San Diego, so TJ was right there.

Schools will need to go back to pen/pencil, paper and work done in the classroom. Otherwise, only the most disciplined are going to actually learn anything in school.

Rain. Down. Fire.

You know how many of the world’s problems would have been solved by dropping a FAE on Woodstock instead of %#^*ing roses?

Sirhr

Years ago the wife worked for a company and they had a halloween party, theme was Woodstock. She could not figure what to do.

We went to an army navy surplus store (that in itself should date this for you) and picked up a flight suit for a helicopter pilot. Helmet was too expensive, just the suit. She wore that.

No one could get it. She was the national guard helicopter pilots that brought in supplies and flew out the ones tripping so bad.

She did not last too long at that company.

I have no idea
If it is the same one I saw which it looks extremely close, they bought the truck as a cab and chassis. I thought it was a Hino then bought the 18' single wheel camper, pulled the axle off, built a sub frame and set it on the truck chassis. The work was pretty nice. The 4wd I didn't get to ask him about, I don't know if that was factory or a conversion, I do know the Aussies and Asians can get them 4WD from the factory. I didn't ask him what he had into it, but he did say it was half the price of the road only motorhomes of that size. Which a nice Sprinter RV is like $200k. It has made me think about building one like that but I want a lift gate on the back for motorcycles and mountain bikes. Build it like a bike toterhome under 24'

You guys know I like to read history. Currently I am reading this book, a bit slow going as you need to digest it, but I will do a report in the book thread when finished.

Not your "normal" SOG book this is all the behind the scenes stuff. If you are looking for combat accounts this is not it. If you want to know why everything was so fucked up, this IS your book. 3/4 way through and I have been thinking for the past couple chapters, there is no way it would have worked, it was setup to fail. Had to be, no one can be this stupid.

Anyhoo.

One of the well known things around this stuff is a Nasty boat. A "little" boat from Norway that the US used as it fit several holes that needed filled. Finally Norway said no more boats, but if you want to make them yourself you can. Cool.

The US "improved them".

They now are more heavy, rode higher in the water, would bend and crack the hull. The class of boat was called the Osprey.

I have not done much looking, but when looking for "brown water navy" stuff in Vietnam, PBR, easy (think every vietnam movie with a boat on brown water), swift, monitors....whatever you can find all kinds of things. But the Osprey, that one is a little more difficult.
