Shit I read your post wrong the first time. Rights are not something granted by anyone. They are present for all good people. The government is limited to RECOGNIZING these rights. Infringement upon responsible people building their own guns is just as criminal as the actions of that low IQ thug in that video.

Some of those guys are still active duty, others are retired officers still subject themselves to recall and UCMJ…..

IMHO there is a place for anyone that is willing to work. And "these" people are willing and want to work. They just need to find the right job. And that job exists everywhere including in a war.
The old story of the "special needs" person working in a hospital changing sheets, and doing general cleaning is perfect. People around the hospital say that he did it to a much higher standard then "normal" people. That was a challenge to him. Made him feel valued, and he did that job real well. That makes people feel good, they are doing something that is really helping out. Those jobs need done.
But with bent .gov's running the show this is what you get.

Moved over to CBS website. Actually did a search of the fund utilization of the ASPCA after hearing their gut wrenching, tear jerking, we gotta do this now to save the poor, starving, freezing little puppies and kittens commercial.
Found that actually, even according to CBS who published this report, that apparently. as one might suspect, not every last penny is going to help those poor star….well you know the rest.
Actually the CEO only earns $840,000.00 per year. Of the 19 bucks a month we just have to donate to save those poor, freezing, starving Pups and Kittens, less than half ($7.78) goes to the animals, while the majority winds up in fund raising and ‘education’ and other costs. Also, they are building up a huge surplus for ‘emergencies.’
What is really wrong with all this. The bulk of the local animal shelters get nothing from this money raising organization and suffer because the ASPCA takes much of their potential funding sources.
Please, please give and give more, the CEO needs to finish up his third vacation home on Nantucket, next to his buddy, obama.

Get "in" with your local shelters, they ALWAYS need something. Smaller towns really struggle.
Don't give anyone "big" one penny.
If you really want to make sure every dime you give is used for what you want it to be, donate goods.
They ALWAYS need things like paper towels, food, blankets. Second hand stores are great for blankets and sheets, and your money goes a LONG way.
If you are more into "giving your time" again all kinds of things you can do from working on the web sites, to working on "special teams". One shelter here goes out and traps feral cats, takes them back and gets them fixed, all at no charge to anyone, then lets them go back where they came from. If they can get to the kittens quickly enough they can be adopted out. Working on those teams as well.
We also have people that go to "depressed" areas and give checkups on dogs and cats, hand out pet food to the needy, new bowls and good leashes and leads....stuff like that.
All kinds of things.
