I have a good friend that met a woman from Goa India in 2013. They met when she was employed in Japan. He eventually got her to the US via the K-1 Visa Route , they have been married since 2014. They did EVERYTHING the LEGAL and expensive route. The minute she got her Green Card ...Social Security Card , etc ....she hit the ground working , paying taxes , and she became a US citizen this year and votes on any elections from local to national races .

There are exceptions to everything. I was in the Philippines a LOT in the early-mid 70’s and I found most Filipinos were hard workers and had a strong work ethic. Not just the girls working the bars of Olongapo. My wife was a RN and she worked with Filipino nurses often here in Arkansas. She never had any complaints about them , praised them in fact. Most really care for the opportunity, and are good people.
When I was stationed at FT Chaffee and lived in FT Smith I didn't notice a large Vietnamese population. I know out in California we had a really large Hmong population and as with anything we had gang issues in the big urban areas. I was in Viet Nam during the same time frame , never got a good vibe from them. After Nam fell , many were resettled to Ft Chaffee in Ft Smith in 75. Many assimilated into the area and many still live there. According to a LEO friend , he says they are WAY less problems from them than both redneck Anglos , and our influx of Hispanics.
