Would you go for a NIB Zeiss LRP S5 for $2,600??? It is the annual holiday for optics sales. G3 Razor again through EV for $2,400, or ATACR for $2,700ish... Or the Zeiss from EO.

I am kind of wanting more magnification than 25x though, because it is probably going to find a home on a target rifle and not a tactical one.

Razor or 7-35 atacr would get my vote
NF or the Vortex. Oddly enough most people prefer the S3 to the S5. I haven't had that much time behind either to say, but the eye box on the S5 was much tighter then the S3.
Well, I have the ATACR 7-35 and the G3 Razor already. I like both, but am not married to either.
Guess I'll just stick with something along those lines again.

Another good day with a new Bartlein/WinTac barrel. This time with the 24". I want to see how the barrel settles after a deep clean and more rounds through her; only 70 rounds got fired today before shooter fatigue set in, and I didn't want to waste the ammo. The cold bore shot was impressive as hell though. I also still need to test out Hornady A-Max 168gr and Federal Berger 185gr. So I'll keep sharing...
And a glamor shot. The 24" AT308 gets the Leupold MK5HD 7-35x56mm with Tremor3 reticle. My 20" has the 5-25x56mm. Both are the revised models with dual erector springs, and both got the nipple twister test without a single hiccup.
I'll work on getting 300 yard groupings next. And for those interested, I'll do some scope tracking as well. Thank you again @Frank Green for the excellent barrels!

No. That's the emulsified molybdenum disulfide compound I use to condition my brand new barrels. This is the only lubricant product I use when cleaning my barrels, and I only wet-patch, so that it can continuously bake into the barrel and molecularly bond to the steel as it reacts to both high heat and the trace elements of sulfur from firing rounds. It is a highly viscous nanoparticle version of molybdenum, not a grease.
I always do 1/2 the M24 SWS break-in process as per FM 3.22-10 (2017), for the purpose of slowly building up heat to bake the molybdenum disulfide into the barrel.

When I can't use Jeany's, I will use Shooter's Choice FP10 as it is also molybdenum based. The bolt gets a Lucas gun lube grease.
That is a good shootin' barrel man!
