I hope their economy collapse to the ground completely. China needs to be reminded its place.

Is there more to the story?
You've escaped level one, but you're still in the Matrix. The only thing we can concretely say is that they're beating us at our own game, using the economic and trading framework that we laid out for the world to follow. Why isn't our government copying and improving upon the Five - Year Plans the CPC makes available to the public? Why aren't we competitively innovating in response, enabling the same measures, the same way they are?
That's quite a different take than I had....“Hope is very little more than delayed disappointment”
This is the creed of the marxist dem party. All gloom and doom. No hope for the future. Just surrender all freedoms and reliance on your false god and the government will provide for you from cradle to grave, in equal misery for all.
here is what i got in a quick look. conflict between mainland and island-2K years. original inhabitants were not Chinese or even "Asian". more like original people in Japan? they did raid Chinese coast. China sent some punitive expeditions. was a late 1500s war between Japan and Spain. Spain won and established forts in 1626. dutch drove them out in 1642. this opened the way to Chinese immigration to escape the mainland problems.Off the top of my head, there’s a hundred years between the Spaniards colonizing parts of SEAsia, and Taiwan being part of China.

I bet they were hungry after an hourSailing ship hit a typhoon near Formosa early 1900, one life boat went to Formosa, one to the nearest island. Japanese Army from Formosa went in force to the small island to retrieve the other survivors, islanders had eaten the survivors. Those islands have always been a place to stay away from.
