Save them just get a new action.Looks like the next rifle is going to be a 6 Creedmoor instead of the 6.5 Creedmoor... Looking for some load details from you guys that are already running it...
Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with all these loaded 6.5 Creedmoor factory loads I have sitting here... Maye time to start pulling bullets.
I ended up getting 3300 with a 90gr TGK using staball 6.5. I did seat this pretty long due to the deeper champer of the PVA barrel (.210 FB)I appreciate it man! I have some Alpha brass I will run for this.
90 tmk? Is that a new bullet? Or the 90 tgk?I ended up getting 3300 with a 90gr TMK using staball 6.5. I did seat this pretty long due to the deeper champer of the PVA barrel (.210 FB)
Sorry typo TGK is what i meant.90 tmk? Is that a new bullet? Or the 90 tgk?
Well, you guys are a wet blanket. LOLZ
I guess I should have mentioned that I'm sitting on 16 pounds of H1000 and over the years have realized that magnums aren't as fun as they look. I recently got bit by the 6.5cm bug which made magnums look even less fun. So I figured if I liked 6.5 cm this much I'd probably love a new 6cm barrel.
I probably will, but according to the wisdom of those who've done it successfully for a while, I likely won't be doing it with H1000.
Appreciate your replies, gents.
This is getting worse all the time! I was planning on a 24"bbl.Whether it works for you will depend on how long your barrel is and what your velocity goal is. H1000 will perform better in a longer barrel. I had a good load of 45.8gn H1000 shooting ~3050fps with Lapua brass in a 28” barrel. IIRC that was a slightly compressed load. As noted above, you will run out of case capacity before you see any pressure signs. If you are running short barrel, it will be a lot harder to get a good load with decent velocity.
