**6 Creedmoor**

4350-4831 is the most common burn rate powders used. You can test it, I don't believe you'll be able to fit enough powder in there that'll get you close to trouble. Modeling shows 49gr will move a 105 over 3100fps at 59k psi. Try to use some your older lots, the stuff from last few years is slower burning than my old stock by a fair bit. I pull this off another site but it's near match to my GRT info.

Nosler listed H1000 as their most accurate powder tested... pushing 105-107 grain pills in 6 Creed. They list 41 to 45 grains max/min with 43 gr being the charge that yielded the best accuracy.

H1000 was far from yielding the highest velocities. But they were respectable enough.

There's only one way for you to find out for sure.

I have been considering testing it as well. Let us know if you try it and how it works for you.

Looks like the next rifle is going to be a 6 Creedmoor instead of the 6.5 Creedmoor... Looking for some load details from you guys that are already running it...

Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with all these loaded 6.5 Creedmoor factory loads I have sitting here... Maye time to start pulling bullets.
Save them just get a new action.

Well, you guys are a wet blanket. LOLZ

I guess I should have mentioned that I'm sitting on 16 pounds of H1000 and over the years have realized that magnums aren't as fun as they look. I recently got bit by the 6.5cm bug which made magnums look even less fun. So I figured if I liked 6.5 cm this much I'd probably love a new 6cm barrel.

I probably will, but according to the wisdom of those who've done it successfully for a while, I likely won't be doing it with H1000.

Appreciate your replies, gents.

Whether it works for you will depend on how long your barrel is and what your velocity goal is. H1000 will perform better in a longer barrel. I had a good load of 45.8gn H1000 shooting ~3050fps with Lapua brass in a 28” barrel. IIRC that was a slightly compressed load. As noted above, you will run out of case capacity before you see any pressure signs. If you are running short barrel, it will be a lot harder to get a good load with decent velocity.

This is getting worse all the time! I was planning on a 24"bbl.
