Currently have an AT V3/IP trickler combo which I like. I have seen videos of the electronics package that IP is offering on various YouTube videos but cannot find any info on the IP website. What does the electronics package offer as an upgrade? What is the cost?

I forgot the cost it was like $300 or slightly more. It is definitely a more refined system for the trickler and sped it up a good bit. it is pretty pricey for what it is but I have been very happy with the purchase as you can control the trickle speed using the app vs the slider.

$332 for electronics and powder cup, plus shipping. That’s approaching a year old data so price might have inched upward. Email Paul and he will create an invoice for you.

What does it do? Gets rid of “mandatory” Bluetooth phone app from Autotrickler. Has memory for trickler settings that you want to store after calibration for different powders. Uses a kernel count (weight per kernel used after calibration, to my basic understanding) instead of running the trickler slowly or ramping down the speed as it approaches target weight (autotricker’s method).

With iP’s tricker logic, the system takes the weight of the powder dump, and calculates 80-90% of the number of powder kernels (or maybe uses the weight gained per step of the trickler motor) it needs to reach target weight and spins the hell out of that tricker (fast), then when that initial trickle is done it calculates the remaining weight needed and you get another small bump from the trickler. If it needs another kernel, it’ll bump that out. The resolution of the scale is +/- .02 grains so if you want 30.2 grains, it’s going to stop at 30.18 and not dispense any more powder (you can cheat that by setting the weight at 30.21 grains in the keypad).

Totally worth the $332 with your setup. Don’t look back.

Thanks for the in-depth reply!

Great explanations posted already. One other thing the IP electronics does if your running a AT V3 thrower, is you can adjust he dwell time of the up stroke of the V3 thrower, which ensures all your powder drops especially on bigger charges... The AT electronics just ripped the thrower up and down (open/close)

This is the setup I have as well, so this upgrade may be just the ticket for me.. I actually really like the AT V3 & IP trickler setup, it's very consistent as is. My main reason for getting this would be to not have to rely on Bluetooth and have an actual keypad..

Its really nice to not have to mess with the slider on back of scale and dial back in each time you change powders/loads.

Calibrate to a powder, and save. Click of a button to switch between powders.

I like the Cal feature also, that will be nice. Im glad that Paul is going to offer this option as well for those of us who were smart enough to hold onto our V3 stuff. Lol.. I spoke to him a year ago about the keypad and he was going to sell me one of those when stuff was starting to roll out, im glad I waited.. So is this available to ship now or something I'd still have to wait for? Thanks...

Everything but the IP dumper has been available for a few months now

Electronics
Draft shield
Cup
Trickler
AT V3/IP trickler above scale mount
(No more stand for IP trickler)

I’m pretty hesitant to get the large dumper at this point with v3 + IP. I’m very happy with v3 and the only advantage I can see is not needing to play with the stick calibration when changing powders but that takes me all of 3 min.

Still gonna complain about the timeline tho

I agree, honestly Im even fine with the trickler in the old stand. All I really would like to have is the electronics package and maybe the cup to play with. Im still running the Area 419 platen and have a square plexiglass top on my scale..

The cup is way better - No more bounced kernels. Id easily spend the money to get the inline trickler holder again.
