I have a Dillon RL550B, Dillon RL650 (with Mr. Bulletfeeder), and a Short Action Customs Nexus (and little Lee classic cast for little odds and ends). Love them all. None of them are going anywhere. Will continue to do bulk reloading on the 650, rifle and pistol.

At this point it’s going to be a machine to process 223 and 300 blackout brass on. I don’t want a CP2000 because it’s not that much less and is limiting. I want something that should I choose to down the road I can load on.

Even though I’m completely out of room at this point, I’m looking at 5 gallon buckets of brass that need to be processed and the though of processing thousands of pieces of brass on my Dillon Super Swager is making me a sad panda. I need a press with on press swaging…

I have no intention of automation, but, we’ve all been around long enough to know how that goes.

I haven’t used either.

I live 2 miles from Dillon.

Read as much as I can. Understand the differences, pros, and cons. As with most things, seems they both have pros and cons.

They are similarly priced.

Just asking to see if those that have used either or both have any compelling reasons to steer me in one direction or the other?

Should I just get the Mark 7 Apex 10 and future proof myself?

Thank you

If you're just processing brass whether 9mm or .223, the 1050/1100 will do you well. I don't see a need for 10 stations when most stations will sit empty.

If you're loading, that's where the extra stations really shine. I have 2 1050's and one is automated. I can't tell you anything in depth about the Mark7 other than I'd sure would appreciate a couple extra stations.

Thanks for the feedback. Everything is kinda pointing me towards the Dillon. I just wanted to entrain the Apex 10 to see if it made sense

I have lots of 1050/1100 tollheads. Changing over to the Lyman would be stupid expensive at this point. And after about 30 yards of loading on the 1050/1100, I know the machines pretty well.

I attached a Mk7 to one of my 1100s and am very happy. I use it to process all my 223, 300 and 308 brass. I also use it to process and FL resize all my handgun brass to make the actual loading that much easier.
