All, thank you for your replies, I only shoot paper, and my goal is 1000yds tight groups. i use the 208 because it has a very high BC. and in the 300WM is not suffering from velocity at 2800fps, heavy bullets are better in wind at 1000yd, but yall can change my mind on that.
i use the 4350 because that is what my stores had when I went shopping. no h1000 or several others available.
besides the collet thing is there another option? i cant get these sized because they will stick in my full length sizer die 75% down the case.
Do yourself a huge favor.
Take a giant step back and assess every step you took to create this problem.
You broke nearly every safety rule of reloading.
Back up, back off and start over slowly.
If you want to know what loads are safe in your rifle, load two at each charge, beginning from a starting load.
(You don't start above maximum, you fuck up when you ignore the basics)
Shoot both of each load, going up in powder charge. If you get slightly heavy bolt lift, you're over the maximum for your rifle. Stop there and back up.
Use a chronograph to verify your powder charge meets with expected velocities.
As far as the brass is concerned, you need to take one of them and write: Huge fucking mistake on it. Set that on the bench so you see it every time you reload.
Take the others and throw them in the trash.
