I have a remmy 700 bdl walnut stock and im trying to figure a few things out. First is the actual date of manufacturing. It has ci 96 after bolt. Now that says it was made april of 88 or 76 im figuring 88 but would like to know for sure. Serial # starts with c. With that said its a 6mm in excellent condition will less than 200 rounds down its what im guessing is a sporty barrel. What is this worth? I wanna build a 6.5 creedmore but just cant bring myself to tear down this one since its in such good shape.

Re: old remmy 700s

send me a picture of the left side of the barrel, there should be a series of 3 letters next to the recoil lug. we can determine it from there

Re: old remmy 700s

C prefix was used from mid 80's until very early 90's!

6mm's are bringing a premium especially in nice shape as they are no longer being made. Could fetch $600+ in the right place.

You can call Remington's 1-800 customer service number and there is an option / prompt that will connect you with a person. You can give them the serial number and they will tell you when it was made as well as barrel specs, trigger type, recall info.
