Hi All,
While I'm not a nube to gunwork, I've run across an issue that I'm unfamiliar with. I'm helping my son with his first build, an M4, and the flash suppressor he bought has a washer supplied with it that is milled to an angle on both engagement surfaces. The suppressor and barrel a milled to 90 deg. No tech information was supplied with the part but from looking around I've come across the term "crush washer". Any info provided would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Flash Supp

Put washer on rifle with large end facing flash hider and then tighten flash hider down finger tight. Use wrench to turn flash hider now until it lines up with front sight base.

Re: Flash Supp

Thanks for the info. The rifle is now complete and my son will be justifiably pleased with himself for at least a month.
